Pizza Ranch — Restaurant in Shakopee

Specifically ordered gluten free TACO pizza after verifying with the female staff member on the phone that it was an option. Went to pick it up at scheduled time and told it was 10 minutes more--did not verify it was TACO pizza, as that should be a safe guess as that is what I ordered.

Waited 10 more minutes, and the pizza given to me was a BLT. They told me that is what was ordered-- nope!!!

The very young blond "manager" said that is what was ordered, stumbled to figure out what to do next. I said I will not pay for that one as that was not my order. He said they could make a TACO one but it will be another 20 minutes. I said okay but asked what he was going to do with the other one, as the right thing would have been to offer that to me as no charge while I waited for them to make what I ordered.

When picking up the TACO pizza, the manage gave it to me, but I did ask if there was anyway to make this right, possibly just refunding the charge for the major inconvenience and rudeness of the "manager". He said why would I do that? I said the service was unacceptable--he did not understand what was unacceptable!?!?

What? I said the whole situation and that I ordered the correct pizza but they made the mistake. I asked about talking to a different manager and he dodged the question by saying he was here all week-NOT helpful.

I left the restaurant feeling completely horribly treated and I will follow up with the different manager after this week!!!

We had a terrible experience at Pizza Ranch today in Shakopee, MM. The half wall in dining area was dirty with food crumbs all along. I don't think it's been cleaned in a long time. Also, it doesn't appear they wipe off the napkin dispensers that sit on the table. They were very slow at replenishing food. I don't think anyone was monitoring the buffet to keep it going. The dessert table one to two choices depending on when you went up for dessert. Finally, the chocolate pudding was spoiled. We did alert the staff that did end up pulling it from the buffet. I don't know who is managing this place, but it was the worst Pizza Ranch I have ever eaten at. When I visit family in Shakopee, MN it's never been this bad. We were all disappointed. I'm seriously thinking a health inspector needs to be involved given the visible health concerns just in the dinning area. We ate there shortly after they opened at 11:00am so very doubtful they did a thorough cleanup prior to open up. We did interact with two staff members there and they were pleasant. I became concerned again when I saw a staff member with long hair and green highlights. My partner and I came to enjoy the buffet as we both grew up on pizza ranch! We were really looking forward to this meal. We arrived and were greeted by Madelyn who was friendly. She was checking in on us to take plates frequently. While the service was good enough, I was very disappointed by the options. I came to a place called PIZZA ranch for pizza, not for salad and chicken. We started our experience at 6:45, over an hour before close. I expected hot and fresh pizzas out and they barely had anything. All the leftover slices piled on to random trays with no signs to know what kinds. People came in during our time while eating and not once did they refresh any of the pizza. We finished our dining experience about an hour after entering. They ran out of cactus bread and did not bother to refill it after a guest requested it. They just seemed like they were trying to close and get people to leave even though people were still coming in after us.
