I have seen the sign for this place for as far back as I can remember and I got here in 96. I never had a chance to go. A few times I tried to stop with some friends but they were either closed or we decided on something else. This time my oldest and I were in town and decided on a late lunch on the way home. I saw the sign from the road and called an audible to stop. It was definitely worth the stop. I got the cheeseburger and my daughter got the BLT. We also got an order of fried pickles. I was torn between the burger and club. The burger was great. Next time (and there will be a next time) I will try the club. If I had to complain about something, I am from Pittsburgh so the only ketchup I can have is Heinz. Not sure what kind they use but next time I will ask for some ranch or another condiment. The service was on the spot. The drinks were pretty big so no refill was needed and she brought us fresh to go cups. Only other complaint is I had never been in there before. We could have been eating there the whole time. There was a plethora of beers on tap but it was too early to start and I would have had to let my...
Read moreWell first let me state my boyfriend kept asking for Norm, but he was nowhere to be found. Here are a few reasons to definitely consider this place(1): I love that it's like a tucked away little gem. My boyfriend enjoyed finding it, and he said "it's what I thought it would look like." Two (2) the staff as well as other patrons were especially wonderful. A Ms. Tanya served us and she was a extraordinary delight! And lastly, Three (3), the food was delicious. I had the 10 inch cheese pizza, which was made fresh and my boyfriend had the philly cheesesteak w/ fries. We didnt have one complaint. When we come back to this area, we will make time to come back.
P.S. we had the pleasure of meeting a gentle, who goes by the name of "Coach" or Mr. Van. Hes a lovely staple to Cheers, he even has is own barstool. When you choose the place, make time to...
Read moreUpdated menu 2024. Take out order of two 10 inch cheese pizzas and two Philly Cheesesteaks with fries came out to a bit over $44.
Large variety of pub staples and great selection of sandwiches, burgers, pizza. Fast service- I ordered on telephone from gas station, got to Cheer's fifteen minutes later and it was ready on the bar. Nice atmosphere, cordial staff, locals nice. Limited seating, but good for this type of bar. Parking was adequate but fills nearing happy hour. Look for signage on south side of large hotel. 80 beers on tap, walking distance next door to major hotel chain.
Overall good experience with a very popular local pub that everyone seems to like. Going to try more menu items and some flights of...
