Dollar General — Local services in Shalimar

Today around 3:30pm a friend of mine and I went to the Dollar General in Shalimar, Florida. My son had to use the bathroom pretty bad, and I was going to look for an item. When I first walked in the cashier had a customer, but since my son was dancing having to use the bathroom so bad I said "Excuse me, where is your Bathroom" the cashier ignored me. So, thinking maybe she just didn't hear me I said it again. This time she looked directly at me, the back at what she was doing and ignored me again. I said "Excuse me, my son needs to use the bathroom, where is your bathroom?" She finally gave me the key to the bathroom, and when I started walking towards the back she said, very rudely, "WHERE ARE YOU GOING? THE BATHROOM IS OVER THERE?!?!" So as I turned around to walk towards the bathroom I simply said "It would have been nice if you would have said that before." She said, again very rudely, "I DID!" My friend that was with me tried asking her for the key to the woman's bathroom and she again completely ignored her. Then my friend heard her mutter "I do not have to put up with this. I do not have to take this today" I then said "This is ridiculous." She screams across the isle "I CAN GO GET MY MANAGER" I told her "okay, please do." The she tells me "I AM THE MANAGER" my friend told her "How can you be the manager? You just said you could go get the manager." She finally goes to get the manager, and as soon as he walks up he tell us to leave. Would not let us explain anything just told us to leave. Then as I'm trying to tell him what was happening and how his cashier was acting towards us simply for asking to use the bathroom he walks outside to get a cart. He had absolutely no interest in what we had to say, no "I'm sorry this has happen", nothing. Simply "You need to leave." I find this insanely unprofessional, and incredibly rude. I understand she had a customer, and any other time I would never have interrupted their transaction, however my son really had to use the bathroom. All I did was asking whether the bathroom was. She could have said it would be a moment, or something, however she decided to ignore another customer and then yell at that same customer. I'm aware that my business will not hurt this company, however I will never step foot into the Shalimar, Fl Dollar General again. I also hope that you get a better manager for this store, and I hope the managers at the other Dollar Generals in the area are not...

This is the Bessemer, Al location on Dartmouth Avenue with wonderful customer service. My friend and I stop to get an item an ended up buying a lot more. The store was clean very well organized something we both desire. The manager assisted us with the beverages utilizing our coupons correctly. The parking lot was even clean gave me a great prospective for going inside to shop. Thanks dollar general for the service everything was great and we will return...

Amazing deals especially on stemware mugs plates and other dining items. I always end up buying a lot more than I intend to! Good sturdy corkscrews have lasted me over a year and would normally cost $10 anywhere else. Sahuaro stem margarita glasses that I previously paid $5 a piece for!
