Tacos El Viejon - Shawnee — Restaurant in Shawnee

My family and I were really craving street tacos last night so I googled their phone number to place an order before I arrived. I called the number on Apple Maps and the address stated Shawnee location. When I get there, they tell me I placed the order with their restaurant location and that the address was confirmed with me which it never was. I asked them if they could still go ahead and make the food for me as I thought I was calling the truck location off nieman as Apple Maps stated and would not be driving out to Olathe to pick up the food but they refused to because I had already placed it with their restaurant location in Olathe. This is a gem in a place I never would have thought! Shawnee, Kansas has an amazing Taco Truck!!! Tacos El Viejon has some dope street tacos as well as other options. I went with the Birria Tacos, and my wife had the Al Pastor tacos. Their Birria juice is some of the best I’ve had! I had one of her Al Pastor Tacos and the meat was marinated just right. If you want to waste your money for some decent Mexican food but with very horrible portioning, go ahead. I was recommended from one of the co-owners, and I’m very much disappointed. They take advantage of the area to charge an outrageous amount of money for the food. Keep in mind the prices are not visible with the food so that’s a red flag.
