I called in an order for a full slab dinner w/ potatoes to feed my family of 3. Online it says they have contactless payment (most common & preferred method).
After my 20 minute drive to the restaurant, I walked in to pay. The cashier lady told me they do not have contactless payment. I checked my car to see if I brought my wallet however I had not.
When I walked back in to let her know, I would not be purchasing the food & They should advise over the phone they do not take contactless payment. She looked at me and said “ I think I’ve seen you in here before and I told you that it doesn’t work”
Mind you the last time I had ordered from big Joe’s was basically a year ago. Her attitude was awful. The fact she expected me to know that they still would not take contactless payment a year later, even though advertised was a tad outlandish. She scoffed at me & I left PO’d with a hungry kid in my back seat.
The cashier lady then had the audacity to call me 35-40 min later as they closed to see if I was “coming back for the food” that had been sitting on the counter since I first walked in not FRESH. Unsure if I’ll be going back here. Places like North Shack offer better food, prices and...

So I ordered a chicken tender meal with fries even though their speciality is broasted chicken. While I prob should not have done that, it is still unacceptable how horrible the chicken tenders are. They’re literally just low-quality frozen tenders you could mass-buy from Costco and put in the microwave. The fries were also very below average. I’ll give them one more try and order their broasted chicken and get fries from Arby’s up the street instead. But right now, I’d recommend Chicken Shack over this place. That might change after my second attempt though, but it would take a lot to bounce back from this meal. But again, good service. Bad fries,...
Read moreMy family used to come here all the time, i'm not sure what happened? maybe Covid? We never had a bad experience that made us stop. Maybe the drive? it's not close for us. Yesterday we remembered Big Joe's and we all emphatically agreed.
My son got Chicken strips and fries, my daughter got shrimp, and i got a 4 piece Chicken dinner. All of it was awesome! We had all forgotten how huge the portions were!. None of us were able to finish our meals. That's okay, we have and air frier at home and therefore lunch for today!
Yes, it's a bit on the pricey side for our budget to be a regular haunt, but it IS worth every penny! I'm happy to say we will be coming here more often again, and we apologize for our absense!
If there is ever a franchise opened in Frankmuth,...
