Drake's Cafe — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

Even when they're busy, the food is always fast. I always get the same southern omelette with wheat toast and crispy hash browns, it's always delicious. Sometimes the gravy is too hot for my mouth, but that's a me problem.

Anna is a great waitress. She's a little hard of hearing sometimes so it might take a couple tries to grab her attention when she's busy, but she's always in a good mood. I don't mind.

Most of the regular customers are older folks that are equally hard of hearing, so I can't fault the staff.

The chef is happy to make minor alterations to the food. If you want extra spinach in your omelette or your bacon extra crispy, it's no big deal.

I absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks where to go for breakfast or early lunch, but the building layout isn't designed for groups of people...

First timer. Did a call in order, lady on the phone sounded like she had a little sass in her voice but I blew it off. Went to go pick the food up and the place was very small but I liked it. It’s family owned and could tell which I liked. The lady in the kitchen was very warm welcoming. The lady who rang me up might have been the same lady on the phone bcuz she didn’t greet me she just said you got the call In. Than when I said yes I wanted the receipt it seemed like she was annoyed.
