Olga's Kitchen — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

Restaurant is brand new however The Kinks of running it are still not worked out. The staff may need a little more training. For example the table was clear of debris and dishes, but it wasn't wiped down and neither were the benches. When I brought it to the waitress's attention she said oh sorry about that and then asked what I wanted to drink and never came back to wipe off anything.

I ordered and Olga's salad with extra feta and a three cheese only tomato and all the sauce on the side. What I got was a bowl of lettuce with a side of feta and a side of dressing and a plane three cheese with no tomatoes... and no sauce on the side. I asked three times for the sauce in the side and it eventually came.

When I asked for a plate to put this salad on so I could mix the feta and the dressing in, because the bowl was so over full you couldn't do it in the bowl, she left and came back several minutes later. When I told her it was frustrating to have to mix the salad with the dressing and the feta she laughed and said I know it is right and walked away. When I explain to that the three cheese had no tomatoes she explain that it was the kitchen not her. And then said she "could probably get me some tomatoes if I would like her to kind of try". Was definitely a frustrating experience!

The upside was that the bread was absolutely delicious and soft and fresh, and the three cheese while missing Tomatoes, was delicious. Nothing tasted microwaved at all nothing was overcooked or undercooked. Just not correctly prepared as to what was ordered. The interesting thing while I was eating was that three tables near me with different wait staff experienced the same thing.

I will go back to that Olga's, but I'm going to give them a few months to get their...

The only reason I gave this place an extra star more than I was going to is because the people here are SO NICE. I feel bad having to leave a negative review but it comes down to food safety.

First off, we came in on Veterans day. The waiter had no idea there was a Veterans day deal (free original olga) for Veterans & had to go ask management. That being said, we did get the free pita, but the lack of advertising for the Veterans day deal (we got an email at 2pm, 20 mins prior to our visit) was not very well planned out or communicated properly with staff. All of this is not that big of a problem. We got our meal, just some advice for management because we did feel a little unwelcome asking for the Veterans day deal our waiter knew nothing about & had to go check with staff in the back while we waited.

What I DO have a problem with is RAW CHICKEN. (SEE PHOTO) I am violently ill. I ordered the Fried Chicken and I ate 2/3 of it thinking the tomatoes were just really cold but turned out the chicken was still raw, like, not undercooked, RAW. I've obviously got food poisoning here at 2am and if that weren't enough, every time we've eaten here their fries tasted undercooked. Now I see why. I think they try so hard to be quick that they aren't properly cooking the food.

Management: Please tell your cooks the fries are always cold in the middle & my chicken was raw! I'm sad to say I used to love Olga's but after food poisoning, I'm never...

I work right down the street from this location. It has been my go to for lunch until about 6 months ago. I had a situation where i ordered lunch through door dash for my coworker and I. We got the food and the steak for the steak and cheese olga with burnt and hard. The fries we ordered were cold and hard. Called the restaurant and informed them what happened, the "supervisor" told me they would send a credit to my email the same day, never got it. called back the next day and let them know that i didn't get the email, "supervisor" again told me she would send it, never got it. called a third time and she blamed me for not getting the email, stating i gave her the wrong email. I gave her the correct email, again, and still to this day never got that credit. Decided to give the restaurant another chance, ordered for myself and a coworker for delivery. I called the restaurant to make some adjustments to my order and they told me they could not find my online order after i already paid for it. they had to retake my order over the phone and have it delivered. they forgot a soup, fries and olga bread for us. i once again called to complain. the new supervisor fixed my order and gave me free bread. i'm very disappointed with this place, they treat their regular customers terribly. say one thing and never fall...
