This has to have become the worst Wendy's location in the country. I typically love Wendy's but this place is being run by management that is either completely aloof or they're just actively incompetent. The employees all seem to be there only to hang out instead of work a job. I usually go through the drive-thru and almost every time the person running the drive-through has a really weird tone and acts like they haven't received an ounce of training in customer service. Like it's not necessarily rude, it's just weird and uncomfortable. We've also gotten down the road or to home and realized too late that we got ripped off and are missing several items on multiple occasions. Nearly every time it's happened I've left a survey from the code on the receipt and nothing's ever come of it even though I've asked sometimes to be contacted. I had the foolish thought that maybe the managers don't know and would like to know so they can make necessary corrections. Spoiler: they don't care. Tonight I got done late with something I was doing and had a craving and decided to go for some late night Wendy's which anywhere else I've ever lived has been excellent. The place is supposed to close at midnight and I pulled up to the board at 11:36pm. The place was clearly still open and I was the only car in the drive-through. I sat there for about 5 minutes with no greeting and eventually came to the realization that the employees were trying to play dumb and act like I wasn't there so they wouldn't have to serve a customer nearly 30 minutes before closing. When I pulled up there was 2 larger white gentlemen standing around talking near the drive-through window and stared me down like I was about to have ruined their night if they had to serve me. Don't get me wrong, I get it, these jobs suck. But I also had a time where I worked such jobs in my life and if I ever did this it would be a fireable offense. Like you do that, you lose your job, every time. That's the understanding so that the people invested in owning and operating that location aren't losing business to lazy employees ruining their reputation. These guys have clearly gotten away with this before and have no qualms doing it. I'm going to act accordingly going forward and act like this restaurant doesn't exist the way they acted like I didn't exist. It won't be long before they follow other awful local chain businesses like the Walgreens and close due to lack of customers because they've ruined any good will they have left. Read moreMobile order and doors were locked at 8:30 pm. Knocked on door holding my phone up with order showing and what I assume was an employee behind the counter looked right past me. So I go to the drive through and waited behind 2 other vehicles to get my order and the girl at the window ignores me at first. Second time an employee looked right at me and didn't acknowledge me. When she finally opened the window she was upset I didn't wait at the speaker behind 2 other cars just to say I already had an order in. What's the point of the app and ordering ahead if you still have to wait in a long drive through line? So when I finally get my order I explained to her I understand being short staffed and not letting people dine in but you should still be able to walk in and get your mobile order which is the whole point of the app. Is it not? She says no one is allowed in the lobby and she hands me my order says hava a good night and shuts the window. She doesn't bother to tell me there is no potato in my bag because they are out. Not a word. So I check my order as I always do and notice there is no potato. By this time I am just dumb founded by the lack of communication and customer service. So I have to sit there and wait till I can get someones attention. I swear I think the girl ignored me again. But some guy finally comes to the window and I say I didn't get my potato. He says we're out. And I was like, no one said anything? Again just dumb founded by the lack of customer service here. I asked for a refund but he said I would have to do it through the app. So just shaking my head in disbelief I asked for a replacement. Read moreThis Wendys is by far the best fast food place we have in Shelbyville! I was able to feed my family of 6 for under $40 including frostys for everyone and I cant do that anywhere else. I ordered online and had it delivered last night and it was a big order. They didnt forget a single thing , including napkins, straws, spoons, salt, ketchup. The food was neatly organized in the bags, everything was hot and all the food was made as we requested it. I am so impressed with their service because I dont receive that service from anywhere else especially on delivery orders. I order from everywhere and its obvious most dont care and bother to check your order or include all the food because I am always missing items, like every single time but you can tell the employees at this Wendys are hard workers, care about their customers, and the service they provide and they do it consistently.
