My family and I enjoy this theater. Yes the concession is high but they are high at all theaters. A big reason is because the movie theater pays a large sum (upwards of $10,000 per day) to rent each movie. More often then not the ticket prices do not cover the entire rent so utilities, wages, maintenance, etc are all paid with the money made from concession. So to keep the lights on, the air or heat running, the toilets running and cleaned and pay someone to do it, each concession item has to pay for a share of that cost. If you have the time look up break even analysis. Admittedly we live up near pleasant view but if all you want is less expensive concessions check out the wolf theater in Greensburg. We go there on occasion as with their kids meal (popcorn meal) you get to pick any candy in the candy case. My kids really love that option and there kids meals are $5 the same as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen you walk into this theater it is clean and you are cheerfully greeted. The entire staff is friendly and accomodating and some even have jokes! In my opinion the concessions aren't priced disproportionately. They seem to be on par with any other theater, plus they have a good kids combo and the "unbeatable deal". The same goes for ticket prices. The actual theaters themselves are always clean and well maintained. The seats are comfortable with double armrests, so you can have a seat, loveseat or sofa - up to you. The video and sound quality are good and the theater is never overcrowded. All in all it's a comfortable experience and this has quickly become one of my favorite theaters. The positives in themselves are great, but the fact is they are consistent in their service, standards...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place is usually pretty clean. The sound however, is TERRIBLE!!! My surround sound at home is ten times as loud. The last couple of times we have been here the sound was so low that you could barely hear it, and there was only three of us in the entire theater. Also, the concessions is pretty decent, and not to badly priced. However, if you want to get a refill on your popcorn, I wouldn't suggest going to any showings after 7pm, as they shut down the concession stand around 8:30pm or so; especially during the week. If you can find an employee, they will refill your drink, but forget about getting your popcorn refilled! So much for the "deal" of getting a free refill. I will also add that this movie theater tends to let underage kids into rated R movies without...
