El Bosque Tex-Mex Grill — Restaurant in Shenandoah

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with deadpan stares. The majority of the servers did not care about what they were doing and there was no real customer service from the staff aside from our waiter Alex. He was one of the only lively staff members on duty and deserves a raise for his customer service and strong work ethic. I ordered the queso birria tacos which when they arrived were oozing (the wording is literal with no embellishment) grease from all sides, adding to a pool of the orange-red liquid. The cup that held the birria dipping sauce was half empty and had a pool of its own grease floating above the juices. After the first bite I was severely disappointed due to not only the amount of grease still in the tacos, but also the blandness that was the meat and cheese combination. It tasted utterly bland and no seasoning at all was present. I urge future customers to stay away because after trying to finish my meal despite the lack of flavor and overall excessive greasiness I could not finish it because I began to feel ill due to the amount of grease I ate from the tacos. My wife ordered the fried avocado, and I stole a bite later in our visit and was greatly surprised at the flavor. It was good, but not great, overall did not make me feel sick for...

I regret to say that this establishment that I have been going to for years has regretfully became one that I have to put on my BAD LIST!!! The Fajitas (beef and chicken)were extremely bad! They had a horrible after taste...as if they were not fresh Fajitas.....meaning that they were already processed fajitas and were something that the restaurant buys from a supplier and all they have to do is heat them up and serve them ( they are the ones that even come with already simulated grill marks on them)

....The color of the fajitas were not even dark brown they were VERY pale....and on top of that they were very flavorless... I usually get barracho beans (becasue they know me when I come in and what I expect...but the service was seriously bad today.....he must of had some personal issues on his mind or something).....nut he gave me the refried beans

Anyways they also know that I always request fresh jalapeno in my fresh smashed avacado dip that comes out with my queso Appetizer (hmmm)....So disappointed....they were really slacking today....

So unprofessional. When management deletes your review it’s infringement on personal speech. Plus if people are getting sick the rest of the public should be able to be informed. It’s very low that instead of making a correction or even overhaul of staff (starting with management) down to food and safety guidelines, they would rather be petty and DELETE this information. You forget there are other website’s where neighbors share information! I’m glad some people have had an enjoyable Experience, BUT customers getting sick AND MULTIPLE NON-RELATED customers sharing the same issues as far back as 2 years???? DID AND SAFETY SHOULD BE PAYING CONSECUTIVE VISITS TO THIS PLACE!!!! Maybe even a couple of news stations and secret shoppers. Just man up management! Who is the owner of this place????
