Not great experience. I will say I love Red Lobster biscuits and it’s the whole reason I go. The kid and the host station was great and friendly and then it was all downhill after. We got seated and noticed there was hardly anyone in the building, maybe 2 or 3 other tables. After waiting a little while I was beginning to wonder if anyone was going to come to our table to order. A few minutes later she showed up to take our drink and appetizer order and before we could say we were ready to order she was gone. She brought the drinks and said the biscuits were cooking and would be out shortly. After a little while I was beginning to wonder if our actual food would come out before the biscuits and appetizer. Then a couple minutes later she brought our appetizer and still no biscuits. She stated they would be out shortly. 5 minutes later our meals were brought out and still no biscuits. The kids liked their meals, but my Cajun chicken Alfredo was bland and not very good. This dish is always hit and miss. When it’s good, it is awesome. When it’s bad, I’d rather throw it in trash than eat it. So we finished the meal and asked for To-Go boxes to pack up our leftovers. I had to ask again if they had biscuits at all. She then asked if I wanted some ToGo or at the table. I asked for both. Couple minutes later she literally brought me 2 biscuits for a table of 4 and said the others would be out shortly. I’m sorry, we went thru our whole meal and ready to leave and you only have 2 biscuits now is unacceptable. Since I know you do not only cook 2 at a time, that means others were given the biscuits before my table that had been waiting a hour for them. I could fully understand if the restaurant was busy, but it was completely dead. It would also be nice if there was a manager at this location. If there was, never saw anybody unless they were in the group of people congregating in the back having a good time together. On the way out I noticed someone else I knew and they were just as miserable with there experience as we were. At this point I have gift cards that I purchased that i would rather expire than return to...
Read moreOnce a year i will visit Red Lobster to see how they fair on new menu items, however, year after year the lobster gets smaller and smaller, and the menu becomes more deceiving. I recently visited this red lobster with my girlfriend and the item i ordered was the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake.
If you take a look at there menu, you will notice something interesting, it states "Petite Main Lobster Tails, split and roaster", what this means is 3 halves, at first the waitress told me it was 2 full tails split in half and roasted, but when i got my meal, it was 3 jumbo shrimp sized halves of lobster tail, not 4 halves which is the math for 2 full tails.
She returned and i asked for clarification, she went back to talk to someone, came back to me and said, sorry, you only get 3 halves, not 2 wholes cut in half. So "Tails" means 1 tail and half a second tail. The portion of tail was smaller than jumbo shrimp, a prawn is larger than the portion, I also asked about the word "petite" she said they are half the size of a regular main lobster tail which is the size of a prawn. My girlfriend had the Ultimate Feast, the Lobster meat was the size of a butterfly cut jumbo shrimp.
Needless to say, "Lobster" needs to simply be removed from the name "Red Lobster" and switch to "Red Almost-Prawn Sized meat Lobster" to properly describe there portions of lobster meat.
The shrimp was almost the same size as the "Petite Lobster", so basically true to there word, Red Lobster menu images are wrong, they look large, but in fact, you get nothing for your money. I suggest for now, go to someplace with real lobster until Red Lobster gets lobster tails the size of there menu images.
Not worth the money right now, maybe next year, we will see in 2021. NOTE: I did contact them like they posted, and received zero response. That said, if I could reduce the 1 start to a 0 star I would, at first I thought they were interested in communicating issues, only to find out, its just a post here to show they "might" have been interested, do not bother responding to them if they ask for details, they don't even...
Read moreClean outside with a country charmer exterior. Abnormally cold and blustering Monday evening at 6pm found the restaurant quite empty and we moved a couple of times so as not to have bright inquisition-like lights shining down or a dirty table.
It was a bit of time before we were able to sift through the multiple menus including the nutrition guide with gluten-free items scattered throughout. Cindy's curse did pop up in the form of sticky red stuff on the cutlery bundle that I got....but the server handle the issues fine. My hubby and I each had the unlimited shrimp combo meal. It came with buns, salad and two sides, which into rice pilaf and a side of your choosing which mine was a baked potato. The buns we yummy according to my hubby, the shrimp was good although I couldn't tell the difference between the garlic shrimp scampi and the wood skewered shrimp. I guess shrimp is shrimp. I ordered one additional skewer of shrimp but my husband had the shrimp linguine and skewers with rice, salad and buns and skipped a re-order. I reminder him that he is supposed to pass on the "filler" food such as buns and salad and rice so he can focus on filling up on the delicious shrimp. Eat the other stuff at home or not at all. Buns came home with the leftovers. Again more food than we could eat, and a great lunch for the next day.
It was veterans' appreciation day so we shared a free Vanilla Bean piece of Cheesecake that was a little slice of heaven. We were charged for it but the manager swung by to check in on our meal and took care of the extra charge.
Restaurant was was quiet and warm (as opposed to heavy air conditioning) so that was really appreciated. I found the bench seating to be a bit too upright and uncomfortable so perhaps next time we will select a table and chair setup.
This isn't the Ritz but it is good food at...
