Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Sheridan Township

Worst service I've ever had.

Waitress started out friendly but when 2 of my family member's steaks came out cooked improperly she quickly turned rude. When they pointed it out to her, she only asked what their steaks were suppose to be and stormed off. A few moments later another person came by with empty small plates and asked about the steaks, my family member's then stated they'd rather just get the steaks off the bill rather than wait for more steaks. He left, leaving the empty plates on our table. The original waitress came back when we were all almost done eating with 2 new steaks. She set the steaks on the table and said "they were already on the grill before you said anything." And stormed off again. Guess you are expected to head back to the kitchen to let the cooks know what you want done when your steak is not cooked correctly? We were hardly waited on after that, spending almost 20mins sitting there not eating waiting for her to get back with our bill. When we finally saw her she walked quickly past our table, leaving ONE to-go container without saying a word and handed the bill over to the person who was going to pay for it. This was the point which upset me. I would never blame a waitress for improperly cooked food, but her attitude is entirely her fault. She left and we once again began a long wait for her to get back to our table. 3 of us has leftover food which was going to separate locations so one box wasn't going to cut it. A family member stopped another person to ask for more to go containers. He came back with 2 very small ones that wouldn't have fit even half of the food we had left in it. At this point I told him to go get our waitress as we were still waiting to pay so we could get out. She came back with two more containers barely saying a word to us and took our payment. Luckily we were out of there shortly afterward.

Personally, I would hope this establishment removes this waitress. Either way, I won't find out as I will not step foot into this establishment again. I'm not interested in paying someone to be rude to me. Good luck, Applebees... you're...

Chain restaurants need to learn that people frequent them based on past "good" experiences in other cities, and they stop going to them based on bad experiences. Any menu item in Applebee's in one city should be relatively as good in another city. Rarely happens...and didn't happen here.

I don't drink a lot, but I generally like Applebee's "Perfect Margarita". The one I got this evening was anything but perfect. It tasted very tart and like it had too much lime, or something, in it. I ordered it on the rocks and it came "on the rocks", but still in the shaker. Our waitress started pouring it into a martini-shaped glass through a strainer. I explained that "on the rocks" meant the liquid and ice should both go into the glass and it should be a different style glass. We finally got past that, but it still tasted terrible and I drank only a little bit of it.

My wife and I both ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad, usually one of Applebee's staple menu items. While it was very good, there must have been a shortage of lettuce and the other ingredients as it was about 3/4 the size of the ones I'm used to eating. Do NOT waste your time on this Applebees!!! This is by far the absolute worst Applebees on the planet. We waited 25 minutes for a waitress as tables seated after us were being served. When she finally showed up. Summer was her name, she took forever to write our order down. No water, no silver, no drinks later our Food arrived! It was ok but seemed to have sat in the window for a time. My sandwich was soggy. In the meantime still no drink. Waited 45 minutes for their signature perfect strawberry margarita only to be served the incorrect drink TWICE! All in all it was a 45 minute wait for a damn drink and didn’t have the basics to begin with. I actually walked up to the hostess and asked if there was seriously a 1 hour backup at the bar. She was absolutely clueless and equally as slow. We actually watched 2 other tables walk out in Summers section as they had not even been acknowledged. If I could have given zero stars I would have.
