Interesting selection.they had all kinds of various selections. I had never heard of Andy's before but I read a little synopsis of how they started and apparently they started in 1986 with a husband and wife and they named the Frozen Custard store after their son Andy. If there's any flavor that you can think of I think that Andy's has that flavor. Or any mixture that you can think of I think Andy's has that combination as well. I like Frozen custard and the Frozen Custard here was good.I can't say it was the best frozen custard I've had but it was very good and the ingredients that they put in it were very good as well.I was a little curious because when I pulled up it was kind of in a location that off to the side and that you can not see very well.like I said I had never heard of them either so I wondered why they picked such a location away from everything else or so it seems away from everything else.I was also curious because they had a drive-thru and they also had an entrance to the inside of the building but they had no tables or chairs inside for people to sit at a table and eat there Frozen custard. I did end up going inside and ordering custard I got raspberry and hot fudge in my custard and it was very good.they have benches that you can sit on while you're waiting for your custard to be made and I waited there and ate some like husker there and then some of it outside on a little bench that they have out there as well. The employees were very nice.it seemed to be moderately busy through the drive-thru while we werethere and I saw several cars come and go but I don't know how their business is at other times. There a little later in the evening around 8 so I don't know what their business or traffic is like at other times. I would recommend goinghere and seeing the Frozen Custard selections they have and the mixtures that they have come up with on their own or trying your own mixture and seeing how you like it. It's better than most ice cream...
Read moreToday was my second time coming to Andy's. The first time it was okay, but not great or amazing. Sadly today it was not good. As someone who loves ice cream and has almost never met ice cream or frozen custard I did not like, I was very disappointed. Both my partner and I ordered jackhammer's. The custard itself was good, however the toppings were bad. The hot fudge did not taste like hot fudge or even chocolate. The brownie and peanut butter did not taste good. I have never tasted peanut butter or chocolate that tasted like it did tonight. My partner who normally likes almost everything and will eat almost anything(we joke that his tastes are the same as a garbage can) even did not like his custard and complained about the toppings. Additionally, my partner's jackhammer was half melted when we received it. When I went up to get my order, there were two of the same brownie jackhammer's but they looked different so me and other customers were confused as to whose custard was whose and if we took the right thing. After we left he started to feel nauseous and like he was going to throw up. Later in the night I also started experience an upset stomach. It was so bad I even lost sleep. We also both experienced fever symptoms. I had not eaten or drank anything after eating Andy's and experiencing negative symptoms. Neither my partner or I have ever been lactose intolerant. It may have been an off night, or perhaps the ingredients expired, but we will not be returning to Andy's...
Read moreFirst, I would like to say that we really enjoy Andy's. We get it probably 2 times a month, when we are looking for something sweet. We love that the menu changes a little with the seasons. The Riverpoint location is closest to us so it's the one we frequent with our dog in tow. We ALWAYS get a pup cone, and two other treats for my wife and myself. Lately though, those treats have been inconsistent. Like tonight, we ordered (my favorite right now) a strawberry shortcake Sundae, a peach sundae, and a pup cone. Pay for the order, get the Sundae's and the pup cone, which was just a bit of ice cream in a cup. No cone. The peach sundae was filled with a bunch of canned peach juice, and my strawberry shortcake sundae had basically only crumbs of the cake in it, already soggy by the time we parked to eat it. And yes, this may be trivial to write a review on, but, I would have liked to be communicated with over this, as it makes this location seem inconsistent when they aren't communicating to their customers. Some occasions we come and everything is perfect, other tines we come and I am two pieces short of cake than the last time. I get it, you run out of small cones, or cake for the sundaes. It happens it's summer and it's busy, but say that. There are other things on the menu that we enjoy. We can pay for a small cone instead of the tiny cone, its not an issue. But don't let us order as if everything is great and then surprise us with something disappointing...
