TLDR at the bottom.
Decided to take my daughter on a girls day and try a new place. We arrived at 2, so no wait to be seated... however we did wait, because no one was there to seat us. When we arrived there were only 3 other tables seated in the restaurant. Once seated, our server came to our table, after another wait, and me having to flag someone down. We felt rushed to place our food order with our drinks, even though we had said it was our first time visiting ( we were happy to try it out after reading all the reviews) and we'd need just a minute to read through the menu. We ordered the "fresh squeezed" orange juice, which honestly tasted like any other juice out of a jug and water. She only brought the juice, RIGHT AWAY, so not sure how it could've been freshly squeezed (I'm talking under 1 min. time) plus we had to ask for our water 3 times... only to finally receive it after our food was delivered. I do NOT recommend drinking the water. It tasted like it was dipped from a swimming pool. I asked if it was filtered (through the soda machine) and was rudely advised it was tap city water. Why?!?! It was so bad and heavily chlorinated tasting. The food was just OK and over priced in my opinion. 2 juices, a kids meal, and a breakfast plate.... $32. We had to ask for syrup for our pancakes and by the time it was delivered... they were cold. I found a hair in my breakfast about half way through and by that point I was done with this place. Requested our check to pay, them had to wait several minutes for someone who knew how to use the register and refill the receipt tape, to check us out.
I wanted to love this place, but I can't imagine we'll ever be back to "try" it again, it was THAT bad.
I did not ask for a discount or advise of this in the moment. The service was bad enough that I just paid, left, and we chalked it up to an experience.
TLDR: There was noticable water damage on the walls by the windows- it looked corroded. The table we were seated at was not cleaned. It had leftover food and drink rings from the previous guests. The hostess threw our menus on the table and just walked away. waitress was rude had to ask multiple times for water hair in food long wait times even though only a couple...
Read moreWhere do I begin with this absolute garbage dump? We just left this joke of a restaurant (if you can even call it that. . .slop house is more like it.) And I'm sorta P.Oed so I'm trying to refrain from using any profanity on here.
I knew I was in for a poor experience after the server brought us our "coffee". You could tell it was some kind of cheap Folgers, Sam's Choice, or dollar store brand that taste like it had been setting open for about 2 weeks (news flash, coffee contains oils and if you don't seal it properly after opening, it becomes rancid.) and not to mention it was made with non filtered tap water that gave it a metallic taste to boot. (If you're going to tout yourself as a "breakfast place" don't skimp on the coffee cheap skates.)
I odered the short stack (2) blueberry pancakes with a side of two scrambled eggs for my meal and my wife order the French toast with a side of hash browns. . . after sitting there mad that I couldn't even drink my coffee and listening to their microwave beep in the "kitchen" continuously (which I know now what is used to cook most of their food) for what seemed forever, our "food" finally arrived.
My eggs that appeared to be dry and way over cooked sat on a dirty plate that had some brownish and red something on it (looks like it wasn't even washed) that I could rub away so it wasn't something that was just stained into the plate. . .plus the eggs tasted rubbery and had absolutely no flavor. . .you could tell they were liquid eggs.
The pankcakes?. . .garbage. . .GARBAGE! I've made 10x better pancakes at home from a boxed mix. They tasted like staright up Bisquick and we're very dense and we're crunchy on the tops and bottoms. My wife's French toast was absolutely atrocious as well and her hash browns? Lol! More like mashed potatoes ploped onto a flat top. . .HORRIBLE!
I wish I could give this place NO STARS and bar the public from even going there. Don't waste your time. . .sit and wait for a table at IHOP, this place isn't...
