Nonna Ilva — Restaurant in Shippensburg

This is not just another pizza restaurant in Shippensburg. Yes, they have pizza - and it's delicious - but they have many other dishes. And the pizza is next level good - like they drizzled balsamic reduction on my pizza as a finishing touch.

Lots of desserts available as well, including cannoli and tiramisu.

The staff/owner was exceptionally helpful and kind. The owner is actually Italian and loves to speak Italian if you know a little.

My kids raved about the Italian Sub, which has real fresh melted mozzarella on it, along with basil pesto and other goodness.

Great place to bring a mixed party of vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. Lots of options for everyone.

Pizza was good, we personally thought it could’ve been cooked a little longer. Fries were good. Lasagna-don’t recommend. You could tell it was prepped however far in advance as the middle was nowhere near hot and the top layer of cheese had no browning in the slightest. Noodles were also overcooked. Cheesesteaks were decent, but 1 of the 2 got messed up and they ended up remaking it. We all ate our food at different times. The staff were nice but the dining room wasn’t busy at all so i assume they were maybe short staffed that day. It was an ok experience but I don’t think we will be back. Try this place!! The food was delicious. I will save you the trouble of being confused, this is not a sit down and tend to your table kind of restaurant. You order at the counter, sit down, and they will bring the food out to you. We went and the line was out the door. The wait was well worth it though!
