A Hidden Gem: Teews I was found it on google as I was driving to Richmond BC , finally have a chance to come over and try it ! My recent visit was a revelation, centered around two standout items: their unique Xiang shui Lemon Yashi oolong Tea and the absolutely divine Pineapple Bubble Waffle.
The Star Drink: A Lemon Tea Unlike Any Other
Most boba shops offer a standard, often syrupy-sweet, lemon black or green tea. Teewsâ version is in a completely different league.
The "Unique" Factor: What makes it so special is its incredible balance and freshness. This isn't a powder or a overly sweet syrup mixed with tea. You can tell they use *real, freshly-squeezed Xiang shui lemon ( ship from overseas) *, which provides a bright, tangy kick that is both refreshing and authentic. The tea base is strong enough to stand up to the citrus without being bitter. Perfect Sweetness: I ordered less sugar , I told the handsome boy I donât like too sweet and but need a hint to kicks the flavor out , so he gave me 30% of sweet , The sweetness is expertly calibrated. Itâs not cloying; instead, it complements the tartness of the lemon, creating a harmonious and sophisticated flavor profile. You have the option to adjust the sugar level, but I found the "30%{{" to be perfect. Refreshing & Revitalizing: This is the ultimate thirst-quencher. Itâs incredibly light and revitalizing, making it the perfect drink for a sunny afternoon or a palate-cleansing treat. Itâs the kind of drink that feels genuinely good to drink.
Verdict: 5/5. This isn't just lemon tea; it's a crafted experience. Itâs a must-try for anyone who appreciates authentic fruit flavors and a break from overly sugary drinks.
Snack: The Amazing Pineapple Bubble Waffle**
the âPineapple Bubble Waffle â is the supernova. I try many places / shops of Bubble waffles - I love bubble waffles ! But Teews has perfected them.
Texture Heaven: The waffle itself is a masterpiece of texture. It arrives warm and fragrant, impossibly crispy on the outside while remaining light, airy, and slightly chewy on the inside. Each "bubble" is a perfect pocket of deliciousness.
Overall Rating:** âââââ (5/5)
The staff were friendly and efficient.
I also suggest them to open another shop closed to south .
Will I be back? Without a doubt. I'm already eager to try more of their other tea creations...
Read moreI've visited this place twice and have mixed feelings. I usually give boba places often two visits. The first time visit was a couple weeks ago, I went I got a Thai milk tea which was delicious - really well-balanced and flavorful. However, the texture for boba has been disappointing. The pearls were overly soft, and seemed to lack the sweet marinade that usually gives boba its signature taste. On my second visit the other day. I tried the xiangshui lemon premium tea. While the lemon flavor was mild (which may be a matter of personal preference), the boba quality issue persisted. Service could also use improvement - we waited about 15-20 minutes for just two drinks despite being the only customers, as the staff member was chatting with another customer while preparing our order. The tea quality itself is solid, so I'd recommend coming here for the beverages but skipping the boba add-on until they address the texture and...
Read moreThis review is only for the pineapple bubble waffle. I was in the area and bubble waffle being my childhood staple, i felt compelled to stop by to try this pineapple version. The pineapple in the name is not referring to the fruit, but the sweet crust on the Chinese pineapple bun, and that is another classic bakery item that i grew up with. I thought it was quite brilliant to offer the pineapple bun version of bubble waffle. Sadly i was disappointed at the result. The addition of the pineapple bun crust on top made the bubble waffle thick and chewy, unlike the light and crispy outside of a typical good bubble waffle. Next time i would just get the regular...
