The photo is my matcha brûlée and mixed fruit tangulu, and I got a taro slush with brown sugar boba another time. The drinks themselves were super yummy, (the brûlée is creamy and the matcha actually tasted of rich matcha and not like other places’ just being sweet milk, and the brown sugar boba had a rich caramel flavor coating) but the quality of toppings are inconsistent. The boba would be half-normal and half-rock hard. And the menu falsely advertises the sugared fruit when the menu graphic shows several fruits on the stick but they only actually give you four pieces, so I hope they update their menu graphics to be accurate soon. I personally think the sugared fruit is yummy but my sister had tangulu in New York City and thought that the sugar crust here was a little too thick and not like a delicate crunch. On the down side, the boba was tough and kind of hard to chew, which really put a damper on the whole experience. The portion size of boba was less than what I'm used to at other establishments.
The decor was nice but seemed sparse, and the menu offered less variety than I'm used to.
Overall, it wasn't totally unpleasant, but I wouldn't personally go back unless the other boba spot in that shopping...
Read moreThe inside was very modern and trendy, I loved the earthy tones and tables that work well for coming by yourself or a group. Service was great-lina was a sweetheart-and the tanghulu was delicous! Unfortunately the bubble waffles arent available until next week but i will be back for that! Drinks were not gritty, instead were very smooth and a good amount of sweet. Overall I will be coming to canopy Boba again!...
