went in Dec 23rd around 6:30 to eat and to also get a gift card (for christmas ). my total came to just a few cents shy of 50$. I gave her a 100 dollar bill. Now granted, there was a sign that said they dont take 100's. But I thought since I used half of it maybe it would be ok. The girl at the counter said nothing to me about it, just left and went to what I assume was a manager. They came to me and said they wont take it. I said I spent half of it, surely you have to have 50$ in the register. She told me we dont have 50$ bills. I said ok, how about two 20's and a ten. She got mad and was rude and yelled out "ok ok" then open the drawer and got me change. There was plenty of money to make change. Then she told the girl that had taken our order to not let anyone dine in, only take out. Strange since it was only 6:30. I told the girl that I was eating in anyway as thats what we came for and there was no sign on the door. The manager girl brought the food to our table and I said thank you and she walked away and didnt say anything to me. I yelled out a little louder, Thank you, and again she kept walking and said nothing. I would have used another method of payment if they hadnt taken the 100$ bill, but she was very rude with her attitude. It really turned me off from wanting to go there again. And when I said thank you to her, she still had an attitude and wouldnt even look at me nor say anything. That is bad customer service and she should never be a manager if she cant handle a customer situation. I have worked in customer service for 30 years and deal with customers all the time. Yes, us customers can be difficult sometimes, but as a manager, it is your job to be nice. I wasnt asking for anything crazy, just change. No reason to get that rude...
Read moreUpdate: I've been 3 times in the last three weeks. Each time I've had three or four cars in front of me and have not had to wait more than three or four minutes. Ice cream is thick and blizzard served upside down each time. Something has turned around here. I'm not sure what it is but I hope they keep going in this direction.
Original: We've been long time and regular customers, but we've noticed lately a steep decline in service and food quality. The drive-thru line is always very slow, usually taking 15 to 20 minutes, sometimes a bit less, but sometimes even more. Last week after waiting about 20 minutes, they had my simple two item order completely wrong and I was so frustrated with having to wait so long that I just took what they gave me so I wouldn't have to waste any more time. Today when I ordered a Royal Rocky Road Blizzard, they gave it to me with vanilla ice cream and without any chocolate syrup mixed in and when I told them that Rocky Road should be with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla (as pictured on the menu), They told me I had it wrong and told me it was my fault for not specifically requesting chocolate. Once again, I was sick of the waiting, so I just enjoyed a completely vanilla rocky road blizzard. It's actually faster to drive all the way across town and go to Culver's. Even though they're way busier, there's so much more efficient and friendly and get our order right every time. It's so frustrating because I've been a big dairy Queen fan for a long time, but it's bad enough to even...
Read moreWow, this place has really gone downhill. It used to be owned by a family but obviously that is no longer the case. I waited 22 minutes in the drive thru line for two blizzards a kids cone and a sundae. Note that the 4 cars in front of me that I could see only got drinks and icecream treats...not food which could justify a longer wait time. When I finally got to the window I waited another 2 minutes till the widow opened up to take my payment. This is where it gets good......the short haired blonde female employee took my order out of this little fridge that is by the drive thru window. She handed me two blizzards...not turning either of them upsidedown. When I pointed it out she said "we are not required to turn them upside down half of the time" WHAT? This is DQ....that is what they are known for! Ice Cream so thick it can be served upside down! In fact that became manditory in 2016. Apparently the employees need to Google DQ's history. I then realized why they did not get flipped....it's cause they were half melted due to sitting in there for 22 minutes. In fact everything was melted....ever try to eat a dipped cone that was half melted? One more awesome feature of this DQ is that they are not able to scan the app for points. So I could not even get a payback of any kind for my patronage. I think DQ corporate needs to know there is an unlicensed franchise using the DQ...
