Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Show Low

Father's day, 2022. 4:30 pm. The single most horrifying drive through experience of my entire life.

1. Waited several minutes to have our order taken. Observed an employee at the window chatting with the only driver ahead of us at that time.
2. order not taken properly. ONE out of FOUR was listed properly on the receipt.
3. somehow our order was shuffled around, and the two cars behind us were before us. I was prompted to pay for those two orders before prompted to pay for ours. Asked to pull forward. No fewer than 3 more drive-thru orders were filled before ours (5 total).
4. I went in and took my receipt to ensure that they were preparing the proper orders.
5. Food brought out. No drinks. The only order that was originally correct on the receipt was wrong.
6. 2nd time in. Informed them of the mistake (not in a particularly kind way).
7. 4 drinks brought out. A single small ice cream cone was brought out in consideration for our troubles. REALLY? THERE ARE FOUR PEOPLE IN THIS CAR THAT YOU HAVE INCONVENIENCED. NO THANK YOU FOR YOUR PITIFUL GESTURE.
8. FINALLY! 4th burger brought out.

Total time between pulling up to have our order taken and driving away - 30 minutes. This tells me that they didn't even work on our order for a substantial portion of the time we were there. No other car waited for more than a few...

We have been going to the sonic in Show Low AZ for years, and tonight’s service my husband experienced was short of a positive experience. He pulled into the drive through after work later at night (after 8pm) on 7/22/2024 to not have a single response from anyone after sitting for well over 10 minutes. He pulled up to the window to see all employees inside standing and chatting, actively ignoring him. My husband works two jobs and I am very pregnant, being exhausted and Frustrated he then instead moved to a stall in hopes to get someone’s attention to order. From the stall, he had to press the button multiple times before someone responded again for an unrealistic wait time. Once they did respond they proceeded to help everyone in the drive through line before him, making the wait over 20 minutes additional to what he has waited. Again this is after he attempted drive through, all to be ignored by staff once he got to the window.)

I don’t like to complain, however it’s really frustrating when we are active, loyal customers to be treated as if we are an annoyance. I have worked plenty of fast food jobs in my adolescent years and the experience was just all around unpleasant. I ordered the Garlic butter bacon cheese burger I asked them to add lettuce what I got was a burger with no bacon like two pieces of grilled onion no lettuce like I had asked for specifically I ordered chili cheese tots and got just cheese tots I had to send the tots back along with the burger then the burger came out a second time and it had no lettuce on it like I asked for so I had asked for lettuce on the side because nobody put lettuce on my burger like I asked for them to specifically loud and clear three different times and she repeated it back to me and said everything correct but then still brought out the wrong food I don't remember what her name was but she's a little petite Blondie and then my fiance ordered the the super sonic double cheeseburger and it came with a really really dry Patty like it's been sitting out for...
