On 12/16/2021, my family and I were in Shreveport for my sister’s graduation from LSU-S and decided to go to Copelands before getting back on the road. When we arrived (3:30p.m.) there was no one in the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant there was no hostess to greet the guest. After waiting about five minutes she (Michigan)finally appeared from the back and shared that there would be a shift change at 4 pm and until that happen they were unable to sit anyone so we would have to wait 20 minutes to be seated(NO BIG DEAL). At this time there was now another family present and waiting to be seated. She then went back to the back. When she arrived for the second time, she said it would be an additional 20 minutes before seating because they were waiting for the waitress to arrive. I then ask her, what what was their estimated time total to be seated at which she(Michigan) threw up her hands and verbalized with an attitude and in a loud voice “WHY ARE YOU HERE” as she again headed to the back of the restaurant. At this point, we had now been waiting about 30 minutes in an empty restaurant minus the 2 individuals she seated at the bar(who arrived after us). When she came back up the third time she had Kaitlyn (or Katie) with her and Kaitlyn shared that no one would be seated per their protocol until a waitress arrive which she said in a very impolite tone. Once they got the table set up, my family and I allowed the family who arrived after us to be seated and asked how much longer would the wait would be which she replied in a cheeky tone that it is one waiter per table. At this time, my sister replied, that they were very unprofessional. Kaitlyn then became very rude and stated out loud, “WE ARE NOT UNPROFESSIONAL AND I REFUSE YOUR SERVICES”. I then ask for her name, which she refused to give. I then said, It was fine and I would call Corporate. At this time, Michigan inserted herself into my conversion and stated out loud “I DON’T GIVE A F*Ck. I then ask for the manager who ask that we step outside to talk. After four requests the manager finally shared the workers' names. I did inform the manager of how rude, uncivil, and disrespectful, his staff was to their customers who only wanted answers to their questions and were not rude in asking those questions. Copeland's in Shreveport failed to meet the needs of their consumer in terms of service quality. I will never be back and I was happy to leave the restaurant as we had already determined as a family we were going to eat elsewhere. There is a reason why this restaurant was empty and it now makes sense. As long as you have rude staff, a long wait time with zero consumers in the restaurant, terrible communication skills by your staff, a lack of empathy, a failure to meet customer expectations, no timely resolution of the problem, and no effective solutions to the problems and handle matters by refusing service because of your inability to be professional and problem solve, you will continue to have negative...
Read moreMy experience with this particular Copelands was horrible!! I recently had placed a call in order. The customer service team member was very friendly over the telephone with me regarding my order. Once I arrived at Copeland a young lady came out to speak with me she had no idea what was going on with my order due to the fact that it was shift change but she did inform me that she would check on my order. So I sat in my vehicle for another 10 minutes and I saw the young lady with a oder I asked was it mines which she replied no ma’am. So once I entered the lobby I nicely asked the hostess if she could please give me a refund because I was going to be late getting to work. Upon talking with the hostess there was a worker behind me who was working in the cheese factory department she walked out with an attitude. Not understanding what was going on with her I asked the hostess if she could help me out by checking on my order which she did. Shortly thereafter she returned saying my order was being brought out to me. Well the service member which had the attitude brought out my order the box was opened no utensils or condiments. I asked for a receipt which from there the worker continued to be rude to me for NO apparent reasons!! I called in to speak with a manager and he said he was standing there when this happened to me. On top of that my hamburger was supposed to be cooked medium and it was well done. Return it once I got off at 8 and the manager on the evening shift had it remade which was supposed to be Medium but again it was well done. I basically just gave up!!! I lost my lunch time, then I was a hour late getting home from work and I had not eaten yet. Copeland’s of New Orleans what’s going on with your customer service! It’s like you guys at this location doesn’t care! That’s why your business has fallen off because of your poor customer service. If the manager who’s running the shift has a piss poor attitude so will your employees! Copeland’s in Slidell La would not have tolerated this kind...
Read moreSeven of us went there on a Saturday night. Started out calling for reservations and was informed, "you must have eight folks for reservations" so we just decided to go early. Upon arrival we were sat quickly and informed "being as there are seven in your party, 20 percent will be added to your bill". Of which, I am against as most of the time we would add more "if" the waiter/waitress is good. Here is the issues that occurred. . .1) took more than 12 minutes to get our drink orders, and when he forgot one, reply was "I can only carry so many drinks". . .albeit I saw him and others assisting the other four tables with drinks. 2) asked for extra napkins which took him four trips to remember. 3) water glasses should never be emptied at a restaurant with cloth napkins. . .had to ask for water and drinks to be refilled. . a few times. 4) Do not take smoke breaks if you are responsible for a table with customers. . . Could smell smoke on waiter as we had missed him for over 11 minutes. 5) waited on one beverage for over ten minutes although you went to your other table (singular) three other times. Food was ok/good thus the "weak" 4 star. Overall experience is at a middle 3 star. Here are suggestions for management. . .1) water pitcher on table of parties of five or more OR have a beverage waiter/waitress 2) if your gonna charge 20 percent more for a party allow them to make reservations 3) obtain better tables/locations for large parties, as we were constantly moving in and away for others to get by. 4) Managers, get on the floor and ask "how are things going". . We were there for over one and half hours. . . Didn't see a one asking folks, "how is the meal". 5) last one. . Advise your waiters/waitress not to take smoke breaks "if" they have a table full of customers. I/we use to enjoy going to Copelands. . .service has went down a bit. Will I go back. . .perhaps one more time, but in a party of four or less to make a determination for future visits. . But it will be a little of time, nothing in the...
