Food tasted like it was cooked by Americans trying to imitate Chinese cuisine. I saw that many people stated that this is the best Chinese restaurant in Shreveport. If that's the case, I'll never try the rest. Crab 🦀 Rangoon did not taste like it had an ounce of crab in it and the sour cream cheese they use is definitely some cheap off brand. The fried rice was absolutely nasty and very salty. I'm also accustomed to having vegetables in my fried rice. The only thing in the rice is fried egg pieces here and there. I had to add duck sauce to the fried rice to make it palatable. I wouldn't dare add soy sauce to the fried rice, unless you want to end of in one of the local emergency rooms in a hypertensive crisis from an overload of sodium. The 2-star review was because the sesame chicken tasted good. I highly doubt it that I would patronize this business again. Especially, paying $35.06 (Doordash) and having higher expectations than what I received. Quite honestly, If I would've took the time to read the other reviews before ordering from this restaurant, I wouldn't have patronized the business in the first place. Hindsight is...
Read moreOrdered the combination fried rice (shrimp and chicken) and received a plate of rice with 2...yes, TWO...shrimp. We asked the server about it and she confirms that, yes, you do only receive 2 shrimp at lunch. She told us if you order the dinner combination you will receive more shrimp. She didn't respond when I asked her if you get 4 shrimp with the dinner portion lol. You will do better to order the shrimp lunch and make your own shrimp fried rice (same price). $6.95 for a plate of rice (wasn't much chicken either...not enough to make up for TWO shrimp) is a little ridiculous! Lunch for 2 ran $19.95 after you add in $2.00 a piece for drinks (and the server does not offer a refill...gotta make that $$$! She actually seemed irritated when I asked for a to go cup (simply because I had to eat my lunch with no drink). Also, I had half and half tea and it wasn't the best tea I had so I asked for Coke instead...I couldn't get Coke because I had tea for lunch, lol! As a retired manager of many dine in restaurants, this was not professional in the least. I never let my servers refuse the guest. Ever. I'm being generous...
Read moreWe used to dine here all the time but quit going when the world shut down. Last night we went here for the first time in a long time and there wasn’t any other dine in patrons except us. I’m not sure what has changed but this place used to be packed. The prices have gotten high but that is literally everywhere! The paper plate dining is a turn off so they may be part of the problem. The hot and sour soup is better than anyone else’s in town that I have tried. I could eat two bowls of it. Make sure if you ask for a complete plate that you understand if they ask you for egg roll and you say yes that you will not be getting a crab Rangoon as listed on the menu. The fried rice is one of the worst in town I would not recommend it. I got the Mongolian beef and the flavor is delicious except for the fact that it is extremely spicy. I boxed mine up to take home to my husband. The dumplings are big but should be for $10.95 and I asked for fried and I’m pretty sure they were steamed. I didn’t care for their texture nor taste but the kids seemed to like them. I’ll go back for the soup and maybe some sesame chicken...
