We booked this room on our choice hotel app as we did all of our hotels during this 4000+ mile road trip and when we got to the hotel they only had one room left and they were having trouble to put us into a room she called her manager on her cell and was able to put us into the room they were having elevator issues and the elevator guy came twice while we were there that evening because the door at main floor would not shut so we had to use the stairs. The back stairwell smelled of smoke in a non-smoking no pet hotel. Our king size bed suite smelled of must, mold mildew smell and when we opened the bathroom door there were towels in a pile on the bathroom sink. We went back down to the front desk and told them of these issues they did have our room re-cleaned for us and they sprayed a bunch of cleaning smell in the room to try to get rid of the must and mildew smell I was told that if I didn't want to stay in the room I had to decide within the 1/2 hrs when we were first there they didn't have any more king size beds we would have to get put into a double bed and we would have to pay more because that was up cost. The host at the front desk was friendly and seemed to want to help but I think she was uncertain of what she could do. I had febreze and perfume in my bag and I sprayed our room more and was able to stay the night. We went to bed and after we went to bed a few hours later the fire alarm went off and we were all outside until the fire department cleared it for us to be able to go back inside. |Our Room: musty mildew mold smell The furniture in our room and the rugs were stained and had melted spots and the doors look like they were banged into a lot and had been damaged. I know some of these things are out of their hands like the elevator and the fire alarm but it was just the icing on top of the cake. When I checked out the next morning all the person told me was that she apologized for the evening before and I said do you mean the fire alarm or everything else she said everything else and that was all, they never comped us anything they never offered anything else we paid the full price of our room and left. I don't usually complain I usually hush up but this was another stop along our way and our 6th night in a hotel and our first issue with any of our stays.| They had re-cleaned our room and sprayed a lot of some type of cleaner and because we were looking to just have a place to rest/sleep we stayed but do Not plan...

Reserved an accessible room. Did not get an accessible room, front desk clerk tried to tell me it was non smoking which meant accessible! Really? Told her non smoking and accessibility has nothing to do with each other! I asked her to explain to me what accessible meant and her response was she really didn't know how to explain it. Why is this person working the front desk? She did nothing to accommodate my request and told me there was no other rooms available. Nothing was done. Breakfast was to be served until 9am and I went for breakfast at 8:15 to find the pancake batter was already removed, sausage patties sitting in grease and just a little bit of the famous powdered eggs were left. When asked if she was just refilling the pancake batter (ok waffle batter since it's a waffle iron) she said no that she is preparing to shut down. At 8:15? She said well I will get you some. She poured some batter in a cup for me to make a waffle. How nice huh? I used napkins to remove the grease as much as possible from the sausage patties. Passed on the dried eggs. There were other guests that came for breakfast even after me and had to settle for dry cereal and others just walked away since there was no breakfast for them. Very poor experience, poor service, unfriendly staff. Upon checking out, a different clerk, did not ask how was my stay, not even a greeting of any sort actually. Will I be back at this location? Most definitely NOT 🚫 nor would I recommend this location if you want to be treated like you are a person that matters more...

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. My husband is working out of town staying there and every single staff member was on first name basis with him within the first 5 days. Every person I ran into made me feel special and they did everything they could to go above and beyond. We wanted for nothing the entire time we we’re there. ||||Ken checked me and my kids in and he was so nice and attentive to us the entire time; he even took the time to bring us towels to the pool without us asking!||||The housekeeping staff is so very hard working! Mrs. Roberta is my favorite she is super kind and takes pride in her job as does every single housekeeper on that property. Bianca did a fantastic job cleaning our room which wasn’t an easy task with 2 adults and 2 kids in the room. ||||Breakfast was OFF THE HOOK! As a family of four; There was always plenty for us to eat for breakfast and it was something different every day. ||||Even maintenance was so friendly!!! They always made it a point to say hi to us and they were just so sweet. The property was clean, beautiful, and everything seemed brand new! ||||As someone who worked in hotel management for years; I hope that this property’s management recognizes how amazing these employees are in a day and age where it is EXTREMELY difficult to find hard workers. Please give these outstanding ladies and gentlemen a raise so you can keep them there! We will absolutely be back; my husband has already decided that when he works in the area he will always try...

I am struggling with Choice Hotels. I assume that all properties are individually owned since I see large disparities in accommodations within the same brand. This was the second night of staying at Comfort Suite on this trip. This room was better than the last, but not nearly what I expected. When we first got to our floor we could smell what seemed to be Marijuana smoke. The room had two coat hangers and a dirty rag hanging from the shower curtain rod. The mattress cover didn't fit well and wadded up under us overnight. On the upside, the hotel seemed to be fairly well maintained with minimal deferred maintenance items. The breakfast area was very nice with a good selection of items. And, the staff was very nice. That's why I gave this hotel a middle ranking.

Excellent experience, excellent customer service by Tracy Morgan and another young lady whom I sadly lost the paper I wrote her name on. In addition, we needed a wheelchair for my handicapped father-in-law, they did not have one but arranged for Vincent, their maintenance employee, to borrow one from a neighboring hotel. He went and picked it up and brought to us to use. This fabulous staff did all this on one of the busiest travel days of the year. What an outstanding example. The only negative I could say is at the beds for handicap room way too high for a person requiring a wheelchair but management is working on that.

The front desk guy was nice. There was a party going on late, loud music blaring. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were the size of my couch accent pillows, and the ac was nice and cold. Continental breakfast was limited. Pull out bed was filthy. Asked for extra bedding, was never brought. Had to go the front desk to get myself. Top it off with my Uhaul was broken in to and my wedding gown and misc. things were stolen. No cameras. My advise, stay away from Shreveport in general.
