Sad to say their huge lobby/seating area has now been reduced to like 15% of what it used to be. Yes, they really removed a lot of the dining/lobby square footage.

Before, 19-24 people could sit inside. There was bar seating, armchair/table seating, large conference table seating and a standalone table.

Now? 7 people max can sit here. Small bar table section and two small standalone tables. Such a shame. This was such a great location to wind down and be relaxed in. Now it’s tiny, cramped and claustrophobic feeling. No more high ceiling. They brought the ceiling down a lot. Lights are no longer dimly lit. Brightly lit. But, I will say at least the lights aren’t bright blue/white. There is some warmth to them. It’s just so freakin bright now.

I understand they had a lot of issues with transients in the area. Must’ve been a tough decision to either keep your employees or lose them to an issue beyond their control. This may have been the issue that caused the remodel. I guess smaller lobby area means easier time to keep an eye on people. Or just increased chance of no seats being available to transients. Either way… it absolutely sucks it had to come down to this. This is a huge amount of lobby space just gone. No nice shelves of products and cups they had featured. Just a small island in the middle.

Positive: Lobby will be open until 9:30pm. Nice for people who want...

Rudest baristas I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They speak extra fast (not in a nice way) and curb you off before you can say "light ice" or anything else.

On 3 occasions they've taken my order, allowed me to wait 15 minutes in line, then let me know the fizzio machine is broken or that they don't have the ginger ale ingredients AFTER I've waited in the slow drive thru. Better companies have sent someone out to the line in order to let me know and fix the situation.

After the BS I delt with at the Altadena location on Lake Ave this year, I've about given up this once great brand. Pete's is just as good.
