HORRIBLE service! We have been Dennys customers for years and have gradually been experiencing declining service. This morning we were seated by a friendly greeter, but our waiter was a no show to take our drink order, even though he waited a table next to ours. After about 20 minutes I got up and had to look for someone to take our drink order. We were never even acknowledged! A simple "we'll be right with you" goes a long way! Another 10 minutes later we finally got our coffee. After 35 minutes they finally took our meal order. We were never asked if we needed refills, I had to get up again to ask for refills! Got up a third time to inquire anout our meal! (said they'd check, no reply) After 55 minutes of waiting for our meal and watching 3 waitresses talking in their little area, not attending customers, we decided to leave! I asked to speak to the manager (it was at this time we were finally told something about our meal) (Note: there were only "3" other occupied tables in our area during this time, granted there were about 8 people at one) I paid for my coffee. (They offered to pay, but I declined) The manager was a young girl who was very defensive and only gave excuses instead of listening to my concerns. Knowing that my complaint was going nowhere with her I asked for the GM, who was actually there. He was very understading and apologetic (mature) and gave me a coupon for 2 free meals, which I will not use. Will not return to Denny's! They are in need of a drastic change to the way it was before when the service was great and the mature waitresses were there, who worked as a team to serve and assist you ASAP, even if you were not seated in their assigned tables. An hour and about forty minutes waisted at Denny's! Note: we went down the street where we received great service and a great meal. Seated and had drinks within 8 minutes, food within 25! And...restaurant was full...
Read moreVery disappointed in this Denny's. We have eaten at many Denny's locations in Arizona over the last several months. We always order the Super Slams. When we arrived here on June 6 long before 10:45am, we were told there would be a 5-10 minute wait, because they only had two Servers and they were behind on cleaning tables. There were two parties ahead of us. One party left after 20 minutes. While we waited, we watched three Servers, not two, and watched them and other employees, including the Manager who arrived before the one party left. When they weren't busy serving, they were not proactive cleaning tables. There were empty booths and four parties paid and left while we waited.
We were finally seated after 30 minutes. Our Server, Kiyo, came to our table within one minute and took our orders. The Super Slams were more expensive than any other location we have been to, but we were hungry. The food arrived within a reasonable amount of time.
However, one order was wrong, but we didn't have time to send it back and wait so we accepted it. The food was lukewarm and the hashbrowns were rubbery and chewy. We also asked for some napkins, which she forgot, so we asked again 5-6 minutes later and received them without an apology.
As we ate, we watched Kiyo help other diners, and then she cleaned tables. She used one, and only one, towel to clean two booths, wiping the seats first (one which had a liquid spill of some kind) then the tables with the same towel! Then she proceeded to walk the aisle between long booths and used the same towel to wipe the tops of the backs of booths where people touch as they walk through!
The wait time was unacceptable. Knowing the "cleaning" routine of this Server made us very concerned about COVID and all other germs and bacteria.

Read moreI would give less than half a star if available. Went to have breakfast there this morning with my husband. It's bad when the only thing that you can comment about that was good was the hot tea and hot coffee. Both of us had sent back our meals hubby says that they were the worst pancakes he's ever had, they were cold and hard as a rock, and even the second time they were worse and his eggs and his bacon were not cooked properly, rubber as though they were nuked and cold. My breakfast was not cooked to order (over easy fried eggs, crispy hash browns and crispy bacon) and sent it back, then realised it was also missing two pieces of bacon from the description . I got the meal it back and it as still missing the two most pieces of bacon I got a sassy attitude about the bacon being on the hash browns (which was also correct) but I had to show the staff the menu that says there is bacon slices besides the bacon on top of the hash browns. The two pieces of bacon were brought to me as i was in the middle of eating and unceremoniously dumped on my plate without any apology or any eye contact or any acknowledgment. Not good customer care believe.me. we didn't finish our meals and we weren't impressed with the waitstaff (except Linda, who wasn't even our server, she treated us great) We were sitting at the breakfast bar and we noticed that the kitchen was having a major major meltdown day , that nothing was coming out right. sounds like you need new cooks!! the wait staff were trying to deal with it but even they can only do so much when the cook's can't cook.
This was the third strike against this restaurant. We won't be back. Sad as there are so few places.to...
