I'll be generous with the review as they are still sorting things out. We had very good jalapeño burgers and a nice amber beer. As we mentioned to the manager Victoria, a few important improvements are needed ASAP. If the place is going to offer specials such as discounted prices on pitchers of beer, the customer needs to be made aware. This can happen through signs at the entrance, on the tables or by an informed staff. The staff tonight was confused and needed to huddle to sort out how the Thursday special worked. By then it was too late, we had already ordered individual beers. Napkins were at a premium tonight and we had to ask three people for napkins as the juicy and delicious burgers dripped down our hands. Napkins should come with the food or be made available throughout the restaurant. If a staff member says they will be right back with something, they should honor that commitment. Lastly, as our order was goofed up but made right eventually, the food manager delivered it and said it was being "comped". We thought that offer was generous. When we got the bill, it was not comped. I attribute this to too many cooks in the kitchen and a lack of communication. Don't promise "comps" if you're not going to follow through. We want the restaurant to succeed. It is beautiful inside and out. Nice woodwork, flooring and lighting. Lots of nice details. Please work on signage, specials, and training so we...
Read morePros: Best burger I have ever had! Food is amazing. Atmosphere is good if you like country line dancing.
Cons: This was the worst service I have ever experienced. I was warned by other people that the service is bad, but I thought I would give it a try anyway. Things were going fine, and then about half way through our meal, my husband asked for another coke. That coke never came, and the waitress seemed very busy with other people. We kept trying to flag her down but to no avail. After about an hour of waiting, we started to get very frustrated (I think my husband's thirst and my need to get home to my kids with the babysitter started to kick in). I literally had to walk around the restaurant and find a waitress to help us get our check, a box, and my husband's coke. I've never had to do that at a restaurant before. The waitresses apologized, but they gave us a lot of excuses about how they are short-staffed. If that's the case, that's on the owner, not the servers. I highly recommend this business work on the service aspect of...
Read moreThe other night, I was paying to get in when the front desk security, who was very polite, checked my valid and current military ID and was about to let me in (it was free for active-duty members that night). However, the “head of security” approached and scolded the front desk staff for marking me as active duty, possibly because of my longer hair.
The front desk security explained that I had a valid ID, but the head of security still insisted on seeing it ,(it was already in my wallet at this point) but I very calmly gave it to him. He examined it closely, checking the expiration dates, before finally letting me and my girlfriend in — without any apology.
I understand that my longer hair may not fit certain expectations, but plenty of service members don’t fit the traditional look. Unfortunately, I’ve heard from friends who’ve had issues with this same individual as well.
Aside from that interaction, the bar was great, the drinks were excellent, and the service was fantastic. I hope this situation...
