Starbucks — Restaurant in Siesta Key

I normally don't review Starbucks locations, but due to the service I experienced here, I'm posting this review in the hopes that management will straighten up the service and the quality at this particular location. Having worked in a coffee shop before, I consider Starbucks as setting the standard in quality, professionalism, and efficiency. And I will consider the possibility that I simply witnessed a bad shift, but management should still maintain that standard even if employees are becoming negligent. The overall cleanliness of the store was on par with other locations, and I certainly have no complaints regarding the furnishings or space made available. Service was slow but not such that it was discomforting. Just longer than my normal wait. If I had been in a hurry, I would have had more of a problem with this. Since I was just enjoying my coffee at the bar, I have no problem with the slower service. With regard to the drink itself, it is exactly what I have come to expect from Starbucks. Consistency each and every time. No matter where I go, it's the same coffee, which is a good thing in this regard. I was however uncomfortable with employees eating and drinking in front of customers. My experience as a barista tells me that such action would result in immediate corrective action. Also, the employees were very loud and disruptive when communicating with customers. It seemed like I had to speak to 3 different employees to place my order. Normally, I appreciate Starbucks employees making small talk with me, or even chatting among themselves AFTER I've placed my order. However the employees would repeatedly talk over other customers which is disconcerting. Finally, my last and final complaint is with regards to the moment when the barista refused to accommodate a customer who didn't want foam in his latte. After carefully explaining to the employee how he wanted his drink, the barista simply shook his head, proceeded to make the drink with the foam, and handed it to the customer silently. Though it wasn't done to me, it was visible that the customer was bothered by this attitude. And that is certainly not a good representation of standard Starbucks service. I appreciate Starbucks for offering quality coffee and drinks, with incredibly convenient locations and service. However this particular location needs a little work to become on par with others in the area. Not 1 star, but because of my expectation, i'm leaving...

Starbucks, “The popular coffee store”, but there is a serious problem with this coffee shop, the coffee is expensive and bad, sadly it's just a name, the cups are not defective once, they open the coffee and it is always and many times overflowing. You order the hot coffee as I normally drink it and you have a wait of 30 minutes to finally have a cold coffee, my particular experience is that it is only the reputation of expensive coffee because I have no other word to describe this, they give you two glasses, one on top of Another unpleasant thing, in any case, the coffee is thrown away, the cups are useless and the people who work there know it and do nothing about it, they are also not careful serving the coffee, they fill the cups so much that they open and all the coffee is thrown away and Apart from the poor quality of those glasses, my rating is bad for that reason I love drinking coffee but getting here is outrageous, please change...

Great staff! Friendly and wonderful people. This location is popular for meet up groups for hobbyists like knitting and video game enthusiasts. The location has ample seating (indoor and outdoor) and a large table comfortable for groups to gather to study, or chat over lunch.

I frequent this location about twice a week. Employees make or break a Starbucks; You come for the coffee- but ANYWHERE serves coffee, you return again because it's comfortable and they didn't burn your sweetbread haha! I go out of my way to hit this location.

The staff are wonderful, kind, cordial and very professional. Two employees who inspired this review, and have provided absolutely excellent customer service, a fast delivery, and perfectly brewed americano and sweetbread are Phil and a young woman ( I regrettably do not know her name- but I recall she is a English major); Both are well spoken young people who take care in their work...
