Food is ok. Nothing to get excited about. The best time to go is after the breakfast rush which is never heavy but the staff here has a really hard time keeping on top of the orders. In truth, the service is so slow and poor that this is always last on my list of places to eat lunch because of how bad the staff is. All the ladies are slow. The oldest lady is sweet but the language barrier is an issue. The other slightly younger lady that's there is rude, dumb, and entitled. She won't take your order how you want it she makes it how she thinks you want your food. I once asked for a breakfast burrito with fries on the side. After almost an hour of waiting I got a burrito with fries inside it. Not what I asked for and she insisted on arguing with me that it was my fault because someone else who sounded like me ordered that once before. The owner is one of the biggest fools I've encountered. Talking to him is difficult. The guy is always acting like he's got a full house when it's usually just 6 people. You would think that he would be able to handle the pressure after so many years but he's all over the place. Don't you dare ask for no cheese or some other small modification it just confuses him and he'll just skip you again and again while people who ordered giant breakfasts get served first. Prepare to be mansplained to about your order and a small history lesson when you have any questions. Example: Q: Does the burger combo come with pickles? A: We've been making the burger the same way since the 90's and it's been that way since my since blah blah blah. Today I stop w my family to eat n this location. The men take my order was the new owner..first he don't no how to use the register. I order one pancake with 2 eggs he charge me for one pancake $3.99 for 2 eggs $6.00i ask why he don't charge me for kids meals. He UNSER because that meals is only for kids under 8years old. This is ridiculous this is not good for business what about if someone is hungry n don't have money n only have some money you don't want to sell that meal when you walking to Macdonalds they don't ask you if you have your children in order for you to order a kids meal. Also I order for ribeye.steak. they charge me for tbone steak. One of the best mom & pop-type cafe/diners around! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this is one of the best old style cafes around. Their breakfast menu is is broad with all your favorite foods. Best of all, the food is cooked just like you like it. Breakfast is served any time of the day. The lunch menu has all the favorite sandwiches, including burgers, chicken, and, grilled sandwiches. They serve a big side of thick cut French Fries, that could easily be shared if you aren't going to eat them all yourself. The fried zucchini and onion rings are great. Lunch is served any time of the day. As far as dinner, spaghetti, country fried steak are some of my favorites. They have the regular serve yourself soda fountain, coffee, and the best iced tea I've had. The service is friendly and fast. Plenty of tables inside and out. Plenty of parking. Lots of good food and calories, but, hell, it's a diner, not a health food place. However they have lots of options if you have to watch your calories like me. They're open early to late.
