Signal Hill Public Library — Attraction in Signal Hill

All I needed was to update my resume, I received a temporary login and away I went. Needed help with saving to my drive and the staff was much more than helpful. She showed me by walking me step by step so I did the process myself and even stayed after I asked her to let me check to see if it was loaded into my drive after logging out and it was. The staff here went above and beyond. I haven't had a library card in years I may just go and get one to continue to use the computer Lab since our resource center is mostly closed. And it's very close by and convenient and I live in Long Beach. 5 stars...

The staff at this library are rude and disrespectful. I have been harrassed several times while sitting in a quiet area. The library is always crowded and seating is limited. I found a space in an open and free room and was harrassed by staff for sitting there. They couldn't tell me to move so they made sure that someone was always nosing around my workstation the entire time I was sitting there. I was expecting it to be much larger than it actually is..however the new library is beautifully done and very much geared towards the youth in Signal Hill. The children's area feels more like a playground for their imagination.. there is a teen area with computers to use and study rooms.. I'm hoping they'll be getting new books because the shelves are somewhat bare. The new upstairs area is for community events.. so I'm looking forward to checking out...
