It's a curse and a blessing to have this place so close to work. The beers here are ridiculously good.
I ended up getting a flight of beers to get a taste of what they had to offer ranging from a Rye IPA, standard IPA, Milk Stout, and a Kentucky Common which tastes like an ALE made in the pre-prohibition style. I have no idea what that means, but it's tastes great! There was a good malt taste to the beers, if you're in to that sort of thing, with a hop finish on the IPA's. The tasters are not your regular size taster glasses either, they look to be about 6oz vs the 4 or 5 oz ones that I'm used to. More bang for your $10 bucks!
Inside this place is bench style seating with about 5-6 picnic style benches, plenty of bar room with high chairs and a lounge couch in the front that I really had a hard time getting off of because it was some damn comfy and plush. This place pays so much attention to detail it's amazing.
Tonight they had the Shady Grove Food Co. For dinner and although they only had two items for diner, the items we're decently prepared.
If you don't come by this place you will surely be...
Read moreI received a gift card for x mas, I finally decided to go to your establishment today. I sat down, ordered a a round had the heater turned on for me, only to be told " this table is reserved, please move". I was told we would only comp you a " drink". I was very disappointed with this treatment, I had arrived early to get a table to accommodate my 5 yr old daughter and my wife as it is a cold evening and the heater kept us warm. I went to the bar to request my comp drink only to be told I was only to be offered (1) drink and not a round for my wife and myself. the move inconvenienced both my wife and self. I was told the party that reserved the table paid 50 dollars for the reservation, and it seemed my inconvenience meant little to your staff. I was offered a round on the house but still felt disappointed by your service. Please train your staff to be more understanding, this was my first and last time to EVER visit your establishment. Your beer is delicious, but your treatment of my family was very poor and lacking. Please...
Read moreA cool brewery with good vibes, great people, and some awesome beer. They have food trucks for food (though I'm pretty sure they're working on getting a small pizza kitchen in the future as well!), they're dog friendly (so long as your dog is also friendly), and really know their stuff when it comes to beer. My favorites are their black IPA (very few brew them, much less anywhere near this good), Kentucky common, and their dark lagers are fantastic.
Highly recommended. Can't go wrong with this gem.
March 2024 update Still awesome beer and now I can honestly say they have some absolutely killer pizza. I would come here for the pizza alone! It's a nice crispy thin crust with quality ingredients on top. There are the classics like pepperoni or Margarita, but also fun rotating monthly pizzas like pastrami and such. The pizza is perfect for 2 people to split, though if you're really hungry you might want to get another pie or garlic buddies.
Highly recommended! Great beer, staff,...
