About 15 or 20 years ago there used to be a Yoshinoya in the North end space of the strip mall at the North West corner of Long Beach Blvd and Anaheim and then it went away. A few years after that I became aware of this one and have finally made it in for my very first visit. I had the Teriyaki Chicken with Beef and Triangle Wedge Potatoes over White Rice, Cherry Pepsi and also had a side order of 4 Spring Egg Rolls with 2 dip bowls of the sweet and sour egg roll sauce. This meal nailed me good. HAHA! A real master blaster. In conversing with the wonderful staff I learned that the entire place had been recently remodeled from top to bottom, front to back, and complimented them on the lovely new design. The dining area is HUGE. There are tables around the whole perimeter of the space next to the windows and then there is a wide row of tables in the open space between the side entrance and the ordering area. The many large windows all around the room make for a very bright and enjoyable dining experience with good views up and down the street both ways and clear across the intersection. I had a mail coupon for the combo bowl and regular fountain drink for $6.49. So, not bad for my very first visit. To quote a famous line from the movies, "I'LL be BACK!", HAHA. Wednesday, (4-18-18). Guess which movie. Hint, he was a governor in Cali. C'mon man, You Know the one I mean. HAHA. :-P

Read moreMostly disappointing experience at this location, though not completely horrible. Just before 8 pm on a weekday, well before closing time & it was not busy. Ordered a beef bowl with vegetables, but got only the beef. The portion seemed light compared with other locations. Asked for the broth twice with the beef bowl, but got what was mostly a cup of oil. Never seen so much oil with a few drops of broth. Ordered gyoza and got them cold & burned. Not nice. There was no unsweetened iced tea, and the sweetened iced tea looked murky & smelled spoiled. Could hardly ask about anything after ordering, as the place seemed understaffed & servers quickly disappeared to the kitchen. At least the condiments were available, which one server kindly gave me when I called & asked. Some of the music may be suitable for the pace in the kitchen, but it's too fast & agitating for comfortable eating and seems to be for urging customers to leave & not dine in (to keep the...
Read moreFirst impressions are a big deal especially during the slow time after 9pm... The floors appeared to be unswept and mopped since the before the afternoon shift... The food was placed on a tray on the counter before I even finished paying for it... The chicken was dried out like it was under a heat lamp and not to mention there was more chunks of batter than chicken... The clerk working the counter took my friend's order but when it was my turn another customer rudely cut in front as if I wasn't ready to pay (mind you my money was in hand) without any directions of "who really is next" from the clerk... The food was warm but not hot as is expected when you get to the center of a bowl of rice... Hmm very disappointing for a quick bite... To cap it off their soda syrups must have been low since I had more carbonated water in my cup than...
