I do not have an issue with the food, per se, but the pricing is very suspect!!! We ordered from the menu which they provided us. We ordered the following: Appetizer Crispy Calamari (menu stated $6.50) Appetizer Shrimp Tempura (menu stated $6.50) Entree Seafood Tempura (menu stated $17.50) Entree Chicken Katsu (menu stated $12.95) It took a long, long time for the server to take our order. Eventually, I noticed that there is a QR code on the table so that we could order via our phone. However, when comparing prices using the phone to those listed in the actual hardcopy menu, the phone prices were more expensive. They were: Appetizer Crispy Calamari (app stated $7.95) Appetizer Shrimp Tempura (app stated $6.95) Entree Seafood Tempura (app stated $19.95) Entree Chicken Katsu (app stated $13.95) I thought perhaps this QR code was merely for ordering/delivery for future purposes. But, when we got our check, we discovered that the pricing was actually the more expensive...and NOT what was reflected in the hardcopy menu.
For those who plan to eat "in" at Sakura and use a hardcopy menu, I would take photos of the menu or at least take note of the pricing from the menu. Then, when you receive your check with the higher prices, I would challenge the pricing by asking to see the menu again and showing the menu pricing to the server and demand that they adjust the check. This is clearly false advertising/pricing if they...
Read moreI have always lived Sakura. Tonight when a friend and I went , we were ready to order. I started to order and the waiter says to me that the prices were not correct in the menu we were ordering from. They were $2.00 more. I believe that that is false advertisement. After reconsidering leaving we decided to stay against our better judgment. I ordered chicken fried rice. After taking a few bites I realized he had brought me regular fried rice. I explained to him that I ordered chicken fried rice. He asked if I wanted him to get me chicken fried rice. I said yes. That is what I ordered. He literally took it back. Added chicken to my already eaten a few bites of rice and brought it back to me. I’m pretty sure this is a health violation. In order to add the chicken he would have had to take the rice, that I just had my used fork in, off the plate, probably put on the griddle, add the chicken, mix it together with a utensil they probably used for other customers food as well, brought it back to me where it was visible what they had done. I asked him about it. He agreed that is what he did. I told him to take it back and remove it from my check. At this point I was questioning the quality of my sushi rolls that were in front of me. I will not ever go back there. And have also considered reporting them to the health board or even better business bureau but not sure...
Read moreGreat staff!! We just ordered for the first time tonight and it was a mess on my part. I ordered through Uber eats for it to be delivered. After awhile I checked the app to see where the food was and no one picked it up. Uber informed me on the app I should pick it up to get it sooner, so I got dressed and headed out. When I arrived I grab the LARGE order I placed and left (not before being greeted by Yong who was very kind and friendly). Once I arrived home I received a call from Uber eats stating I took the wrong order and asked if I could take it back (the total was the same total as mine.. $82.5 which was the total after being credited for picking it up). Once I returned to the store, the gentleman Yong informed me he cannot take the food back I was just returning and that I can have it on the house. I tried to pay for it as it was really my mistake but he refused. The Uber guy that was there waiting was even friendly! It’s rare when you can take a stressful situation and have people still be so polite, kind and understanding. On top of that, the food was amazing!! Even the other order!! Lol. They definitely gained another customer! Thank you Yong and random Uber guy for being so cool through...
