Hands down one of the best poke bowl places in the Northeast. This is Freshido's third location, grand-opened earlier this month. I am so happy it's right here in my neck of the woods. It's right behind Chipotle/Starbucks, not readily visible from Carlisle Pike. Access to it isn't ideal either -- if you approach from the east, you'd have to make an early left at the light by the Chevrolet dealer because you can't turn left further down the road at the main entrance to the strip mall! The format, layout, and furnishings are the same as other locations in Hershey and Harrisburg, hip and current. The ingredients are similarly fresh - they'd better be if "fresh" is part of its name! On this visit I tried scallops as choice of protein for the first time. I also picked a new dressing flavor, the Citrus White. There're endless combinations and honestly so far I love them all! Out of so many poke bowls I've had, the only notes I've taken for myself is to skip the pineapple. I love pineapple by itself, but adding it to the bowl inevitably "sours" and thus spoils the overall taste - for me anyway, some ingredients don't jive well with it. Also, make sure you get the lotus chips for the Crunch. These are my two pieces of advice. By the way, there is just one common allergen out of the nearly 50 ingredients and that is the Macadamia nut. Beyond that, it's just a matter of whether you want raw salmon/tuna or not. You can't go wrong; you'll love whatever you end up getting. Hours are 11:00 am - 9:00 pm all days of the week. Reasonably priced, healthful, great tasting without feeling of guilt. I would recommend Freshido any time without any hesitation

I ordered drunken noodles from here today and at the bottom of my dish was an unwashed pepper with the sticker still on it. Safe to assume none of the vegetables were washed. When I called to complain i was told i needed to return the food in order to get my money back. So in addition to giving me unsanitary food I had to drive 20 minutes back out to get a refund and the young lady i spoke to on the phone didn’t even apologize. When my boyfriend went back in to get my refund, he wasn’t greeted or apologized to either for the inconvenience nor was it even explained when we should expect the refund. Just a simple “are you returning the whole order?” I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless if you want to have listeria or food poisoning.

Asian Fusion = Japanese + Korean + Chinese, etc. = no direction + no meaningful discernment in quality. The black garlic ramen and Sichuan style Tantan broth were decent but failed to make up for the stingy portions. The pork was thin and tiny, the other toppings are average, and for $18 (tax included), neither would be worth it. The Poke Bowl was shallow in contents and for all the myriad options it presents, you get a measly amount of all. The tuna didn’t seem too fresh from the bite I tried. The music is average and they seem a bit understaffed, but the staff themselves are friendly and accommodating! 5/10. Not coming back here, and I feel like the portion sizes got smaller compared to the last time I was here, last year.

Favorite poke bowl place. A little pricey but their servings are pretty big

2024 edit: First off, nothing else other than the poke bowls are worth ordering. I’ve been enjoying their poke bowls since 2018, and they’ve always been fantastic. But recently, there’s been a noticeable shift in how things are run, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. They used to have a simple queueing system—very straightforward and budget-friendly for both us customers and the business, kind of like what you see at Cava.

Now, though, they’ve switched to a table service model. You either have to order through a big iPad, which is a hassle because you can’t always tell if they’ve added everything you’ve paid for, like that extra scoop. Or, you sit down and a waiter takes your order, which automatically tacks on about 20% more to your bill. I get that this might help create more jobs, which is great, but I'm concerned this could mean we’re seeing the end of the quick, easy service we used to love. It feels like a big change, and I’m not sure it’s for the better.

Moreover, their stores are located in Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg—both pretty small communities where nearly everyone knows each other. In such close-knit areas, maintaining the quality of their food is crucial. If they start to slip, word will get around fast, and they could really struggle. They definitely need to keep up the good food, or they might risk losing what makes...

This review is on the remodeled Freshido with wok cooking - I would like to preface that I have been a longstanding Freshido enjoyer, and the new version does not disappoint. Alongside the same bowls that they are known for, they now also offer a more relaxed and refined dining option. The two models seem quite different to me: the quick bowls are healthy, fast food while the other option seems almost restaurant-like, but they coexist well. The new menu (which I love - the amount of creativity and different flavors will keep me returning) also has a good amount of gluten free options. I do not know the safety of more sensitive people, but I, with a moderate allergy, seem to be doing well. Overall, I think that once they have a little bit of time to make everything work out it...
