Update....2/16/24 John (our salesperson) called 2 days ago and was able to get us our new mattress sooner. It was delivered the next day. After only sleeping on the new mattress one night, my pain has subsided. We truly apricate it!
Apologies for the very long review..... My husband and I went to the Mechanicsburg store to upgrade our queen mattress to a king. I explained to our salesperson John from the beginning I have chronic back pain from a previous injury so I needed a "memory foam " type mattress and an adjustable base to help with the pain and he seemed very understanding. After looking at a few mattresses, we settled on a Sealy Posturepedic hybrid plush mattress and John explained to us if we didn't like it, we had a 120 day return/ exchange timeframe, (did not mention we have to have it for 30 days prior to exchanging). The mattress and base were delivered 2 days later and this is where it went down hill... The mattress (gel) was frozen upon delivery so the delivery men left it at the bottom of our stairs to thaw and we had to carry it upstairs 3 hours later once it thawed, which is not the store's fault, it was just an inconvenience. From the first night sleeping on it, I knew something wasn't right with the mattress. A week and a half later we went back to the store (Mechanicsburg, Pa) and explained the mattress was "killing" my back and we wanted to exchange it. The salesperson we spoke to said, "well you can't until after 30 days to allow the mattress to adjust". We also talked to the manager that day and he said it shouldn't be an issue to exchange sooner than the 30 days. Since we were going to exchange for a Nectar we had to go to another store to see if we liked the Premier or Copper Nectar better because Mechanicsburg only has the Premier and classic. After comparing, we decided on the Nectar Copper. We went back to Mechanicsburg to put in our request for the exchange. We were told we couldn't have the new mattress delivered until the 30 day mark. (2 weeks out). I explained to our salesperson, John that I was 100% sure we received the wrong mattress initially. (There is a plush and a firm version of our mattress) We purchased plush, but got the firm delivered. Therefore since we had the wrong mattress, I asked if the store could override the 30 days and deliver our new mattress sooner (a week). We were told that decision has to be made by the store and/or district manager. We asked our salesperson to ask the manager when he came in that day and to give us a call to let us know if that could be done. That was a Thursday and we didn't receive a call that day or the next morning. We called Friday twice in the afternoon to speak to the manager Craig and were told he was busy...We determined, the only way to speak to him was to go back into the store...so my husband drove back in to get nowhere.
At this point, we are still waiting for our new mattress to arrive, as well as our refund for the difference.
I feel due to the fact we initially received the wrong mattress ,( not the store or salesperson's fault since the correct one was ordered), and it is causing my back to hurt worse then it has in a long time, the manager could have done something to have our new mattress to us a week earlier, but I assume money is more important than "great" customer service. I will update my review if something changes, however at this time I would not recommend this store to family...

Read moreI called the Mechanicsburg store for some information because I felt that my wife and I had special needs in our mattress request. Carl took my call, answered most of my questions and confirmed that the time I wanted to visit the showroom would probably be a low customer count time and probably a great time to try various bedding options. I went to the showroom, met Carl who remembered our conversation and special needs. He easily led me to three choices based on my self-assessment and his experience. (Perfect number of choices!) I planned to return the next day with my wife for her evaluation of bedding needs and comfort. Same knowledgeable, professional and kind experience. This time we were out the door with a paid contract and firm delivery date the we asked for.
Carl gave us all of the information we needed to make a good decision for bedding that is comfortable, supportive and within our budget.
I’m 75, have shopped for and purchased a number of beddings systems for our family through the years and can truthful say that this was the best experience I have ever had.
