Attia's Kitchen @Gulf Ultra Lounge — Restaurant in Silver Spring

First time and ordered a lot of all my "test" dishes.I use certain dishes to gauge Liberian cooks :)

The fufu and soup was my first try since I am usually not successful reheating fufu. My order came w/ the seafood pepper soup. The soup was delicious, just the right amount of heat in my opinion and it went great w/ the cassava fufu(my favorite type)...will definitely be ordering that again and will try the other pepper soup types(goat or mixed meat)

The Potato Greens w/ palm oil, palm butter and cassava leaf was all delicious, definitely getting all those again.

The cassava leaf at first i thought was too spicy and the spiciness was taking away from the dish, but after coming back to it later I found it to be just fine...guess my Liberian taste buds woke up

The palm butter put me off a bit cause it had kittley in it, which i'm not a fan of due to the bitterness it adds to any dish it's added too, which i guess is the point for some, but not for me, however it didnt over power the dish and was a good balance and I still devoured it cause it was that good. I would still prefer it w/out kittley though

I found this place on google randomly while searching for food open late night. I love her hours and flexibility to meet the customers demands. The 1st time I ordered from here my friends and I were shocked but very pleased. We enjoyed her Liberian style jollof rice with roasted chicken, suya and dry rice with fried fish. The second time I ordered from here she did not have what I wanted ready on her menu so she went to the store and bought fresh fish to fry for me! This was very much appreciated. The food was well seasoned and fresh to order! I love the traditional Liberian flavors. The portion sizes are perfect to share with friends. I hope this small business expands to a full service Liberian restaurant serving...
