I wish I could tell you how the food was, but honestly the service ruined the entire experience before we even got that far. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. The host barely looked up, just waved us toward a table without saying a word. We sat for almost 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, and when the server finally came over, they acted like we were bothering them by ordering drinks. Asking simple questions about the menu got us sighs and eye-rolls. Refills? Forget it. We had to flag someone down every single time, and even then it took another 10 minutes. Our food sat under the heat lamps for who knows how long while our server chatted with coworkers at the counter. When it finally came out, they just dropped the bags on the table without checking in, and then disappeared again for the rest of the meal. No napkins, no wet wipes, no checking to see if we needed anything. The only time they came back was to slap the bill on the table — no thank you, no ‘how was everything,’ nothing. I don’t expect fine dining at a seafood boil place, but I do expect basic courtesy and at least the bare minimum of attention. The service here was so bad that it overshadowed everything else. I...
Read moreNew restaurant and soft opening means they’re still working out the kinks. The food was amazing! The service and general operations needs improvement, but I’ll be back.
We had a party of six, and shared two combos and 3 sides of rice. A single combo could feed two. The Cajun garlic butter sauce had just the right amount of kick.
Not sure if the idea is to eat everything with your hands, but it would have been nice to be explained as such. We were served the food and server walked away. No silverware given.
The drinks/bar might have been overwhelmed, but we ordered a coors light and got a mystery beer. Ordered a Bodhi and was brought a canned IPA in place of Bodhi because they didn’t have it (although advertised on the menu) The server just left the can, didn’t open it or bring a glass. (But she did offer one). Our DD ordered a lemonade and it was the last thing we got, even after our food, having to ask about it.
The interior design and decorations were cute and appropriate. Attention to detail on napkin holder, plates and bibs were a nice touch.
Reviews are subjective. At the end of the night, our party was very happy with the quality of food and many of us indicated we’d come back. Be patient with service and staff. Most of them are...
Read moreI've eaten a lot of oysters and never had a bad one, i now know after tasting exactly what a bad one tastes like. I knew immediately, it tasted like sulfer. I'm so so so so sick! Google says i could have salmonella or e.coli from this. Great i might develop something that takes a doctors visit and a week to get rid of. It was so bad that this isn't an accident of it didn't stay cold enough.... they served an oyster that was already open and dead. An oversight that is oyster 101 and pretty much had to be purposeful bc one knows if they didn't shuck the oyster.
It's a shame bc love the atmosphere and service was excellent! They need to put more sauce in the boiled seafood bags though (more seasoning and garlic, too oily, but overall decent just not enough to coat the seafood and doesn't cling like it should) and the potatoes are too small. But good flavor and properly cooked large shrimp. Get hot if you're usually a medium.
Food poisoning just kinda kills the whole experience, and medical bills aren't fun. You may think I'm weird but I'll go again in a month to see if they evolve in the seasoning arena (I'm a boiling crab addict). the shrimp was good!
I'll steer clear of raw oysters...
