Please don’t go here if you have curly hair. They claim to know how to cut curly hair but they are very much mistaken. I was specific about the length I wanted, let the stylist know my hair was layered. She asked me several times what I used product wise for my hair. I let down my hair and the stylist started brushing my long curly hair while dry. It hurt. She then proceeded to snip off a large chunk of my long curls, Disregarding the length I asked for and did all of this while my hair was STILL DRY (didn’t go by the layers that I already had). Seriously just went ahead and chopped. Once she was done snipping off all my curls, I told her is was way shorter than what I asked for. She argued with me that curly hair is shorter when wet and longer when dry (not true at all). She washed my hair, kept snipping off small pieces making it shorter and shorter, then put some curl product in my hair. I was supposed to have it diffused after but I decided it was time to go. Had myself a good cry in the car afterwards. I know it grows back but my god, I just wanted a nice cut before having to give birth. I was too emotional to go in and ask for a refund so my husband did and...
Read moreI contacted Silverdale salon privately and got no response. During first consultation the size of rollers were chosen for a perm. It was understood that perms had fallen out in the past. My hair is fine which causes fallout of perms unless small rollers are used. The stylist used white and lavender rollers (which looked larger than the ones selected at consultation). I instantly commented and felt rebuffed when told the perm would not fall out. I did buy the oil, shampoo and conditioner recommended and followed the stylist's instructions to not wash my hair for 3 days. I waited 4 days to wash my hair. The perm rolled in the lavender rollers did fall out. I believe to have the perm redone would cause more breakage. I feel the stylist did not listen, choosing to use the lavender rollers. I did spend over $200 at this salon. I should have insisted the stylist use smaller dimension rollers than the lavender ones.
I am not accusing this salon of wrong doing in any way. I have had my hair for 80 years and it is my view that salon stylists should listen to their clients. This was my first visit. Will I return?...
Read moreI am giving this two stars because the service was friendly and my hair color turned out 'OK'. However, my haircut was a disaster! Krista had cut my hair. I had shown her a photo to give her a visual on how I would like my hair. The end result was far from what was seen in the photo. Not only did my hair come out too short, the cut was also VERY uneven at the back and very choppy. It did not look professional at all.
This is the second time that I've had an unsatisfying cut from Third Dimensions in Silverdale. Last time, I had went in for an ombré and came out with highlights. The only reason I had forgiven them was because the last store manager (who no longer works there) had offered to redo my hair for free and gave me a $100 voucher. After this second time, I am no longer getting my hair done at Third Dimensions. It was definitely not worth the high price...
