I went like an hour before close, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.
The wait was nice though ive honestly no idea why the waiting room is so far from the entrance it didnt make a ton of sense , also its soft opening do after putting my name down we were not told where to wait. After getting to the table, we put in the 3 meat order, not terrible selection of items to eat. The main issue I did end up having was :
that at the buffet, there were only massive plates when we just wanted to grab a sauce or two but couldn't get anyone to help us.
There were no plates to put the cooked food onto even after asking (the customer service was good again soft opening) so we ended up having to put the cooked meat onto plates that had put raw meat on them even after asking for a clean plate for me and my wife (def health issues I feel but anywho).
I understand the training but we were told if we wanted to order drinks to use the machine on the table waited for 10ish minutes after ordering drinks before making a server aware who quickly corrected the situation (its soft opening so I understand(soft opening means everyone is new and things are still being assembled))
The grill was set very, very high, so everything cooked too quickly and didn't stay as warm for as long. The grill took a while to be changed, leaving a heavy smell of burning meat even with the suction from under the table. So you had to eat quickly, not normally an issue, but like I said earlier, we did arrive an hour prior to close.
Just wish that the egg dish came with a side bowl (again plate issue) or plate where I could have scooped the boiling (fluffy and extremely hot) egg out to cool for a second. But all we had were side dish bowls with side dishes and raw meat plates. So I think this is what ended up causing me to get ill shortly after leaving and losing my dinner. The egg I had to scoop out onto a plate with the raw teriyaki meat, and well, it just didn't add up well in my stomach. The egg was so hot that even the server said u need to plop it in a dish to cool, or u will burn yourself and hurt your self. (I get the heat, but ... a side dish with it would have been great or maybe not as hot.)
I've eaten korean bbq in Korean, Hawaii, quam, and here in washington state and with just the issues I experienced i think I need to wait for a long while before I come back to experience this resturant again. I was hoping to get a similar style to Gen korean bbq in Westfield (south center) mall in tukwilla. It was really dark with all shades closed, which was a really odd atmosphere but kinda intimate, I guess.
I dont regret spending $105 on a night out, especially since I didn't know the times it closed till I arrived, so this is on me and my wife, who recommended we just get subway, but I figured why not experience what it had to offer during a soft opening.
Key takeaways, please bring a clean plate for each person to eat off of, maybe make the grills not so darn high heat, and to change the grill / check in a bit more often as our grill was completely burnt and made my wife nauseous from the smell.
Over 3.5 stars out of 5. Staff was kind and amazing, the resturant is what was kinda the letdown. The staff let us order more before the kitchen closed at 830 so we could make the most of it. The teriyaki chicken and beef is great. The sizes for the meat were really small in comparison to Gen korean bbq
44.99 for the premium and 3.00 for drinks. Gen tends to he around 55 for premium, but i will admit i never felt so bad after leaving Gen even after eating more in 30 minutes in Gen than I did in an hour at gogiro .
Staff again amazing kind, polite, and patient. The food portion (1 plate at gen would be like 5 plates here) and lack of clean plates is my main issue.
Its a soft opening, and I came late (im admitting my own faults here too) so it could have been my timing and that they set the grill high to try and make sure we cooked our food to make it...
Read moreWe went in for the "soft opening" and to be honest it seems like they are a long ways off from actually being ready to open. We ordered Shabu and left pretty disappointed and feeling ripped off. Honestly don't know if it would even be worth revisiting in the future.
Pros: We were seated fairly quickly once we actually got a chance to check in with the host. Most of the salad bar items were pretty good. The atmosphere is nice, they did a good job remodeling the space.
Cons: Waiting for the host was a bit frustrating. It took about 20 minutes to actually check in because the host would disappear for about 5-8 minutes with each new group that was seated.
The broths were bland at best, bitter at worst. We ordered the beef broth which was bland, the Chinese hot pot which was "ok", and the fish broth which was oddly bitter. One thing to note is that at no point did anyone come by and offer to top up the broth, so don't plan on being here for more than a couple of rounds because everything boils off quickly.
The meats were unimpressive. You only get to choose 3 items at a time for the whole table. Those trays of thinly sliced meats disappeared immediately when they were set down at our table of four. We tried ordering more on the tablet but we were informed that the system isn't connected to the kitchen so we had to flag down our server. This was annoying in a Friday night with seemingly only one server working. By the time we left we had only gotten 2.66 rounds of meat (they only brought t2 of our items on the second round). We paid about $150 for 4 people and got maybe $30 worth of food...
The salad bar for the most part was fine, but the veggie rice was gross and over cooked and no one was restocking dishes so you had to just use what you could find.
Staff, I get that they're busy and understaffed, but even at reduced standards service kind of sucked. If we wanted anything we had to flag someone down and then wait forever. It was nearly impossible to get drink refills. We also got attitude from our server when we asked for a receipt at checkout, sorry we needed that for expensing, not sure why it was such a big deal.
Overall it kind of seemed like a giant rip off at nearly $150 for 4 people. We left hungry and unsatisfied. Maybe things will improve as they figure out the basics? I think we'll wait a few more months before giving it...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the new Gogiro in Silverdale, WA, and I can confidently say it is a breath of fresh air for our dining landscape! As someone who has been eagerly waiting for a restaurant offering authentic Korean BBQ and Shabu Shabu in our area, I was beyond thrilled to finally step inside this awesome establishment.
From the moment we arrived, Chris, our guide for the evening, provided an informative and warm introduction to the Shabu Shabu experience. His enthusiasm set the tone for our visit, and I appreciated the thorough explanation of how everything worked. We opted for the Huo Guo broth, which was nothing short of delicious—perfectly spiced and packed with flavor.
We kicked off our meal with a selection of pork belly, brisket, and short rib, each cut cooked to perfection. The quality of the meat was outstanding, and the freshness truly shone through in every bite. One of my favorite experiences was customizing my dipping sauce at the sauce bar. I crafted an incredible sauce that paired beautifully with the meats, elevating our meal to new heights.
The assortment of veggies available was fantastic, and I enjoyed every single one. Each layer of flavor added to our Shabu Shabu experience was delightful. While dining, I observed the hostess welcoming more patrons, ensuring they received a detailed walkthrough of the enticing cold and hot bar—a signature touch that showcases their commitment to exceptional service.
Every item I tried was phenomenal, leaving me utterly satisfied and excited to return. Gogiro is sure to become a staple for me and my husband. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this gem! I can’t wait to come back and explore everything this vibrant restaurant has to offer. Bravo to Gogiro for finally bringing this incredible dining experience...
