It is inevitable this place will close down. They do not comprehend how to run a business. You have people as managers who do not have the skills to even talk to customers? No wonder the store is a disaster and a majority of items are just wrongly priced because of management incompetence.
I popped in and said hello to the staff and and the rude manager just stared at me with anger, Oh well I guess.
I then found a PS5 game I wanted for $14.99. I grabbed some other things and went up to the register to pay and left.
When I got home I noticed I overpaid $29.99 for the game that was supposed to be $14.99,so I took it back the store and the friendly lady employee at the register told me it was a pricing mistake and I asked her if I could still get it for $14.99? She went and asked the jolly manager that just stared at me with anger when I said hello from before and the manager said just "no"
So the management has a bad attitude that prevents the store from accommodating to customers. If you have items marked wrong in a retail space you need to honor those prices.
But with the way the managers are mean to customers, I would believe they are rude to us just so they won't have customers in the store, because they can't even say hello.
Also this is a Gamestop "Retro" maybe if the managers weren't so angry at the employees AND customers(angry managers belittle employees on the sales floor in front of customers) then they would not be selling counterfeit cartridges.
The WHOLE "retro display" has fake cartridges scattered between some real ones. It doesn't surprise me that gamestop is selling fake games to customers, the managers are so angry that they don't have time to there job.
Also,a game with a broken factory seal is NOT new! A angry person putting a circle sticker on a game does NOT reseal it.
I will be going to Best Buy or Target from now on and I hope everyone who reads this...
Read moreWe were told they’d have the new pokemon card set in stock and that’d everyone would be able to get stuff that show up early. We get there 2 hours before the store opens and about half an hour later there’s already over 30 people waiting in line. The employee shows up to work and tells us we probably should just go because they have TWELVE of everything in stock and allow everyone to buy 2 and you already know the first 6 people in line are there to help one guy buy 12 of everything so he got it all and the rest of us had to go home. Being low on stock is one thing but emphasizing to everyone that you will be able to get what you want as long as you show up early in order to get more people there in the morning only to not even have enough stock for 20% of the people in line is pretty terrible business. There was probably at least 25 people In that line that had hours of their day wasted this morning by this business. I hadn’t been back to GameStop in years since there’s already no reason to go there and finally decided to try them again instead of another store to see if I could get this new card set I wanted and now I realize any other business would’ve been a better option than these guys. I heard another GameStop nearby only had 2 of some items in stock so they were sold out after the first person. Great way to lose everyone’s business advertising for months that you’re the BEST place to get the new pokemon card set for retail price only to be the worst place in reality. If you like pokemon cards don’t waste your time at any of these locations. You’ll be very disappointed. This was morning...
Read morePlaced an item for pickup. The instructions state "show the associate your "Ready For Pickup/Confirmation" email or notification, or ID." Despite only needing the confirmation email, my wife was required to show her ID. Despite her having the same last name as me (as well as the confirmation email, which is all that is required) she was turned away. Called GameStop corporate to get it canceled. An Indian caller (really? Outsourcing calls in 2020?) who I could barely understand did not know how to cancel so redirected me to the store, whom she said could cancel it over the phone. I call the store and the employee, after I tell him what has happened and that I wanted a refund, said that he can refund it if I come in the store. First of all, I was not about to waste a second trip to refund an online order. Can you imagine if Amazon required this? The man said he had no capability to refund over the phone. I told him that corporate says otherwise. He figures out that there is actually a way to cancel it (so he didn't know the answer and decided to assume the answer instead of looking up if it could be done). He cancels it and say "I don't know how this works, I guess 2-5 business days would be a good guess." I forgot why after the Halo: Reach launch why I stopped coming to GameStop. It's been 10 years since then and I thought buying a simple piece of merchandise wouldn't be so hard. Apparently I was wrong. I'm surprised the company hasn't gone...
