Right here you’ll see my nice fancy paper plates holding my meal, because I got this order to go. One great thing about getting Asian food to go, is when they put them in the little containers like I have pictured, everything stays hot for a decent amount of time. So taking food home can be just about as warm as eating it there. This place has very good flavors and unless they are busy, the food comes out pretty quick as well. I haven’t had a meal I was unimpressed with yet. There has been an occasional time where I get home and they gave me the wrong meal, and I may not have cared for the ingredients that meal had, but those things are honest mistakes. The 2 things I will say I don’t like, are #1, it’s next to a nail salon, and sometimes the smell is permeated into the restaurant, and it’s a nasty smell to smell while eating food. The other is that for quite some time, they have only been taking cash. In today’s world, people have cards on them, and often not cash. It’s kind of a pain to ensure you have cash to take care of it. Other than those 2, I’ve really enjoyed the...
Read moreGeneral Tso, and fried wontons. The meal was probably the second worst Chinese food I had in Sioux City. The staff was nice, friendly and accommodating. The General Tso's looked more like sweat and sour chicken, The chicken pieces were covered with so much batter that the coating was falling apart, and the chicken pieces were tiny lost in all the batter. The funny thing is there was no taste, no spices, just absolutely bland. Would not recommend. The wontons were so fried they were the color of well done french fries, very dark brown. Far to over cooked, far more then I have EVER seen in my 65 years. The dipping sauce for the wontons was again bland, unlike any sauce I have ever had for wontons. So bad I would say they have no idea how to make wonton dipping sauce. Cant say I would...
Read moreHad my first meal from here tonight and enjoyed it. Walked in and ordered carryout. Wait for food seemed reasonable. Service was pleasant and friendly. Restaurant is quite small and quaint but dining area seemed clean. Wide variety of menu items. Dinner for two ran us around the $20 mark, so not as inexpensive as, say, mall Chinese, but competitive with other Chinese establishments around town, and portions were very generous. The only reason this review is 4 stars and not 5 is because the recipes for a couple old favorites were a little less than ideal (purely subjective) The honey chicken didn't have as much sauce as I would like, and hubby's Kung Pao chicken was prepared with peanuts, which he wasn't used to. Still, food was good and we will...
