●I'VE BOUGHT EXPIRED FOOD ACCIDENTLY MANY TIMES SOMETIMES MONTHS OLD (CHEESECAKE FRIDGE IS A NO GO)

●THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO WORK A CHECK MACHINE AND I'VE HAD TO SETTLE MULTIPLE DISPUTES WITH THEM AND MY BANK

● I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWED AROUND BY STAFF TO SEE IF I'M STEALING BASED OFF MY APPEARANCE (I'M A MOTHER AND WOULD NEVER BE A BAD ROLE MODEL)

●I'VE GONE TO A COUNTER TO CHECK OUT AND THEY WILL JUST SAY THEY DON'T HAVE THAT REGISTER OPEN THEN HELP ANOTHER CUSTOMER AT THAT REGISTER SECONDS LATER

●EVERYONE BUT 2 STAFF MEMBERS ARE UNFRIENDLY

●I USED TO SHOP HERE EVERYDAY AND NOW I DON'T EVEN WANT TO DRIVE BY

●THEY HAVE "SALES" THAT ACTUALLY COST YOU MORE

●THE FRUIT IS ALWAYS MOLDY

●THE FOOD IN THE HOT LUNCH AREA IS NOT STORED PROPERLY AND THEN REHEATED FOR MULTIPLE DAYS THEN SOLD IN TOGO LUNCHES A WEEK LATER

●THE STORE FLOORS AND SHELVES ARE DUSTY STICKY DIRTY AND NEED SANITIZED BADLY

Horrible management and customer service. They lost my business over a $6 chicken and a manager who did nothing to try to stop a yelling match between two customers in his check out line! About 2 months ago I purchased a rotisserie chicken and sides that cost over $30 and I bought the rest of my groceries. I got home and cut into it and there was still blood in it. I called the store and was told customer service would have my name and next time I could get a free one. Tonight I thought I would give them another shot and get my free chicken and get the rest of my groceries. I planned on spending about $50 but ended up spending nothing! After them going through 2 books of people who were owed replacement products they didn't find my name. The manager who let 2 men yell at each other said I needed my receipt. What??!! I was never told I would need it! I walked out without buying anything! It worked out for me though because I went to Hyvee and bought my chicken, sides and the rest of my groceries for $35 without listening to customers yelling at each other. I have no plans on ever going back to...

I had run out of overripe bananas with which to make cakes for Christmas gifts. I called a hometown grocer, but they didn't have any. I knew it would do me no good to call the warehouse or big discount stores. I thought, "Who else is a old-fashioned hometown grocer" and Sunshine came to mind.

I called and asked if they had any overripe bananas they would sell me. He said they had a pound or two and said they would put them in a box for me at the service desk. Yes! Mission accomplished! And, I get to look at their meat!

Ordinarily I don't get to shop this store because I live on the W side of the city, but I was close that day. I bought their meat before, and, if they were closer, I would buy more.

I put my box of bananas in my cart, found another overripe batch with the other bananas, and I grabbed them, too. I bought some pretty sweet potatoes and made my way to the meat.

They had good prices on several cuts. I bought chicken thighs and split breasts and a pretty roast I plan to cut into stew meat.
