Culver’s — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

1st time trying Culver's. Stopped to pick up lunch for us on a Friday around noon. We got a spicy chicken sandwich, a single buttercheeseburger, tenders, fries, & cheese curds, with drinks. The food was really good. It was still hot when I got home. The fries were crispy, & the cheese curds were WAY better than what we've gotten at local sitdown restaurants in SF. The spicy chicken wasn't very spicy, but I'm from TX, so that may play into why I think that. Nothing in SD is as spicy as there. It would be awesome if they'd make a spicy grilled chicken! The main reason for the 4 stars was that they had a line almost out the door when I arrived because they only had 1 register open...at lunch. It seemed like there were a ton of regulars there because the woman working the register knew almost everyone by name & their orders before they said them. That was impressive. Then, getting the food took a while. I'm assuming they don't make anything until you get there, so the longer time makes sense. Not sure if the kitchen was understaffed, but there were women literally running outside every few seconds to get food to the drive through line customers. That line was also really long. Hate to amend a review but the customer service at this location has taken a turn for the worst. The last three times we have gone through the drive-thru something has been wrong with our order. I am tired of paying for things we do not get but decided to give them one more try. Instead of drive-thru this trip I ordered inside in hopes of a better experience. The employee who took the order was great and I thought this trip was different. When I got home to my surprise one of the doubles had a single piece of meat... again the recipe was correct. When I called and asked to speak with a manager I was told "mistakes happen" which I do understand. What I don't understand is this woman continued to call me "mam" even after I gave her my full name & told her I was not a "mam". This manager continued to go down this road even after being told that I was a man...she finished with "well you don't sound like a man". Again she was given my name, just shows how little even the manager pays attention at this location... I will not frequent a business that has such little regard for customer service. I probably should have tuned and left when the guy in front of me walked out in anger. Not...

Employee was rude and condescending for no reason. I asked for the flavor of the day. They made it incorrectly and when I asked for a new one to be made it was made purposefully incorrectly.

The item was lemon berry, 2 scoops. First it was made with like 5 pumps of lemon topping sitting on top. So it was incredibly sour. She tried to say that’s how it’s made. No, it should be blended like the photo. When she made the new one she purposefully only put one tiny pump of lemon in the very bottom. That wasn’t necessary I genuinely don’t understand why me asking for an item I paid for to be made the way it’s advertised is so wrong.

I’m writing this review to say, yes maybe it just is ice cream, but you know what.

Some of us are struggling with personal problems and it’s our favorite flavor of ice cream, is something we look forward to, you never know if that’s the only thing someone is looking forward to.

I understand she is a teenager I don’t think it’s right for an adult to come at a young person, but the experience just made me feel sad, and made me feel small, like I was wrong, when I was not rude or unkind.
