Country Pride — Restaurant in Slidell

Okay I must be honest it's been a few minutes since I've stopped at a truck to stop and eat ,but tonight Justified it because we had a late night business thing in Slidell ,where we met the other party there was a Country Pride restaurant in the TA truck stop my wife suggested we go ahead and eat something I got to try there fried steak with mashed potatoes and beans AMAZING! and my wife got white fish, broccoli and broccoli cheese soup that white fish was beyond spectacular rivaled any white fish I've had at the nicest restaurants on the coast and when they told me that there's an outside chance that they can close the restaurant I was truly saddened because this place deserves a lot of local business so if you're anywhere in the area and you're looking for some good home cooking they have one excellent cook there at night time and a really nice waitress who made us feel very much at home! This is the first time I've been to this TA & hopefully my last. My husband & I have eaten four meals in the last two or three days & NONE of mine were cooked right 😡. The first meal, we ordered the exact same thing. His came out perfect, mine was over cooked. So the next 3 meals were eggs over medium, Soft bacon, Soft hash browns, & white toast. Who could screw that up, right🙄The eggs were over hard, the bacon had a soft spot or two, the hash browns were dark brown, & the toast was burned. I ate what I could, because the wait for food was so long, & I didn't want to just sit there & watch my husband eat.😡 I fully understand that they were busy & working a little short handed....but 4 meals cooked, not even close to what I asked for is ridiculous!!! This is a perfect example why County Prides are closing. It's not that drivers don't want a full service sit down restaurant it's examples like and we run in to it all the time. Restaurant opens at 6am sit down at 5 after don't see anybody, finally at 12 after ask the cook behind grill if they are open tells me they open at 6, but it takes a while to get things ready I tell him I don't even have anything to drink yet. He explains again it takes awhile to get things ready I couldn't another chain restaurant and being told this. You need to open when your ready for customers as a business. Please put in charge of your Country Prides the same that runs your sister co. Iron Skillet like night and day...
