Cracker Barrel has always been a favorite! It has always been a very dependable, delicious and friendly place to eat. Which is why this review is so difficult. First, I want to say Dajon my server was the best. I tipped him extra because my negative review and disappointment has nothing to do with him or his service. We walked in the Slidell Cracker Barrel at 10:02am and was seated immediately. Dajon came over at 10:05 and took our order (full order, drinks and food because we knew what we wanted and had somewhere to be at 11am ) We ordered 2 granny breakfasts, nothing special, nothing extra. Dajon comes back a few minutes later with drinks and biscuits. At 10:35 I asked how much longer before we get our food, because I kept seeing food going out and people seated after us were eating. Dajon came back and apologized for the delay and said they are playing it now and it would just be a few more minutes. At 10:45am, still no food and the proverbial straw that broke the camels back was when a manager tried to give us food that wasn't ours. It was the Granny breakfast, but these two plates had hash browns and not grits. It ended up going to a table next to us that was seated 15 minutes after us. 3 minutes later our food arrived and I asked to speak to the manager. I explained to Dajon that it wasn't to complain about him, but about how long it took us to get our food. The same manager who tried to give me the wrong food comes over. She listens to my hangry frustration and says I'm sorry but you just ordered 20 minutes ago. I said, " That is not true, I ordered at 10:05 and asked 20 minutes ago where was my food. " I'm not sure how she is a manager because she didn't really seem to care at all and couldn't leave my table fast enough. I paid for college working as a waitress, so I know that sometimes you can be understaffed and sometimes the kitchen cooks out of order, or even misplaces a ticket I am very understanding if someone is honest and sincerely apologetic (like Dajon was), but this manager was neither. The sad part is Cracker Barrel was my favorite restaurant. I know people shouldn't let one bad experience ruin it, but it is going to be a while...
Read moreWe love our favorite Cracker Barrel so very much. We absolutely enjoy visiting any Cracker Barrel, but to quote the famous passage by John Howard Payne, "Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam, Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home." I don't believe for a second that we are the only family that loves our local Cracker Barrel. I would like to give a special thanks to the Corporate Home Office, (mailing address is P. O. Box 787, Lebanon, Tenn. 37088-0787. Our physical address is 305 Hartmann Drive, Lebanon, Tenn. 37087), for your obvious and continual team work. It really matters when the mutual appreciations and efforts prove to be a meaningful member in any community. Your leadership clearly grows the confidence and pride shared from your office to our table. I recently commented on the fading sign and parking lines. I've comment before and have been really please with your reply, however, the response this time was nothing less than amazing. The lines have been painted and the sign stand proud again. Tonight, during dinner, we received another 5 STAR meal, and the service was 5 STAR as well. Though we can't really be sure our comments inspired the quick attention to the beautiful work, I hope pictures tell the story. Great work. We were having such a wonderful visit with guests at surrounding tables, which is one of my most favorite things about our local store as I have mentioned several other times, but we shared our enjoyment with Camie, who was so just full of hustle and so fantastic that we couldn't be more pleased. Then to make our night better, Tyronne (store manager), came over and introduced himself and genuinely expressed his pleasure in our happiness. Thank all of the Cracker Barrel Family for your incredible cooperation and unyielding hard work. From the Leadership, through the management, the hostess, the excellent cooks, the very impressive service team, to the last, but definitely not least, the voice asking us to return from behind the register. We also thank all of fellow diners. Together we make just about every single visit feel like a special dinner with...
Read moreI had a horrible experience, picking up An online to go order for my family order was supposed to be ready at 5:29. I showed up at 5:35 cashier is supposed to check people‘s ID when picking up an order Order which they do not do, so someone picked up my food and walked out with it.! Afterwards, everyone went on with what they were doing and left me standing twiddling my thumbs for over another 20 minutes until I asked to speak To someone about my order. Was told the manager was working on it, I mean this is food I paid for for my family online 40 minutes had gone by before I was able to get the attention of someone . My feet were killing me because I have plantar fasciitis. Asked again was told my order was put through 10 minutes ago when my food came out it was missing ALL the sides and the Biscuits. Over 50 minutes later when I got my food, a manager had never come out to talk to me not once I was not offered compensation for all my troubles and standing on my feet in a corner for 50 minutes There was another customer that had been there half hour after I showed up Who actually tried to defend my case by saying you guys should offer her at least a free dessert on her next visit, but no one would offer me anything. I just want someone to offer. It wasn't the actual getting anything for free it was the point that no one cared enough to bring out a manager, never leave that store without checking your order. The guy I mentioned when his order came out his main course was wrong He got grilled chicken when he wanted fried. In a situation like this as old as I am and have worked in customer service a business should try to make things right by compensating with a free drink dessert anything to make the customer feel like you care about the trouble you put them through. I got absolutely zero and nothing but people saying I'm just a cashier. I can't do that for you, but no one would actually get the manager. It was as if they were hiding the situation From...
