I'm not sure what it goes on at that restaurant but I have never been to a restaurant or any fast food place that never takes your order at the speaker that always tells you to come to the window to place your order so why they even have the speaker on is beyond me they have the most absolute god-awful system shut up at that store when you come around the corner you know that there's four cars in front of you because you have to go to the service window to place your order in the car that is already there takes 20 minutes to get their order I watched five cars back out of the drive-thru and leave including myself and then every time before that I have even made it to the window every time you pay them they look at you and say oh I got to go find change just hoping that you say oh I'm not worried about it you can keep it if they would just do their job in a professional and timely matter like they should then they would get the tips that they are trying to con us out of in the sad part is that the best Sonic stores and then we get left with a store where the people don't want to use the speaker which is a liebecause I tested that theory and when they told me to pull around I asked him I'm sorry what was that please pull around to the window when I'm ready to place my order what it is they just don't want to take the chance of their drive through getting all backed up I don't know what goes on in that store most of the time they're arguing I don't know who owns this store on gause boulevard but for the love of God you need to create a great flood and wipe everybody in there out and start over and I can see on the review that the next question is did you dine in take out or get delivery I did not cuz I never made it to the store the line was so long and was taking so long to get everyone else's food that I just decided to leave in the below that do I have to say what I got nothing but a rumble in my tummy cuz I was starving Owen last but not least and how much did I spend per person the real question is how much did you lose per person because not including myself there was three cars behind me that backed out and left so the $20 bill that the lady in front of me handed the into the window 20 minutes before I left who probably got guilt tripted out of her change was the $20 that Sonic made in 30 minutes and yet Sonic wonders why they're shutting down all their restaurants you need to make chips to that restaurant whoever owns it the math is not mathing. Which dishes do I recommend well if I could get some food out of the window I may be able to let you know so if you're ever in Slidell going down gause boulevard hey I sure would like to some Sonic if you got some time with some gas to kill if you're thinking about going through the drive-thru don't do it just don't do it I do not advise it thank you shame on you...
Read moreI have waited to write a review... I have been coming to this Sonic religiously for ice, food, and drinks since we moved to Slidell. About 2 months ago, I went through the drive thru and ordered a bag of ice and a drink. I pull up to the window and hand a girl my money. She starts to take an order for someone behind me, at the speaker. My 4 week old baby starts to cry (not even loud, she still had a soft cry at this age.. almost like a cat) in the back seat, and instead of this girl closing her sliding window (like most servers would do) she starts making very loud and extremely rude comments about my baby crying. "Hold on, I can't hear you THIS FREAKING BABY IS CRYING!" She said it twice to the lady at the speaker behind me. I felt very insulted. I would have put my car window up, but this girl was holding my drink in her hand while she was taking this person's order. This girl clearly was not trained properly. I spoke to management and she said that she had just taken over as manager, and she was trying to get back the good name of this particular store. She also said that she was going to have a talk with this employee and send me something in the mail. I have waited 2 months and have never heard back from this manager. Waited for like 30 mins for my order to come out, pressed the red button again to see what the issue was and the employee claimed the order was done but that they "forgot" to bring it out...almost like they were hoping if they ignored me long enough, I would go away (it was a little more than an hour before closing) But I hope that wasn't the case because two minutes later 5 - 6 cars came pulling in the lot to make orders...cant "forget" that many people's orders lol ;-) So anyways I excused it, thought maybe they had a rough night. Went back a few weeks later to try the oreo cookie dough blast and used the drive thru window so I wouldn't be forgotten again. But still didn't have a pleasant experience. The blast wasn't anything special or even good..it was tasteless and bland, totally a big hoopla for nothing. The employees didn't add the toppings I asked them to add, and were not friendly or professional. This Sonic used to be a decent place to go a couple of years ago, but not anymore. So I will not be going there anymore. For me, Its back to the Haagen-Dazs for a "Rocky road dazzler" which is the best ice cream I've ever had.. no exaggeration! Sonic, you need to get this set of employees into better shape because from the looks of it many others agree with me, that this location has been providing subpar service lately and it is driving away...
