Gallery Furniture Inc — Local services in Smithfield

From beginning to end this experience was a nightmare. I ordered my furniture on March 2, 2015. They have a NO REFUND policy. Your credit card is charged immediately. First, I couldn't reach them or get them to respond to my calls. Then I was told my furniture was in, then, one piece was in but the other wasn't. When both were in I was given a delivery date. The furniture didn't make it to the delivery company in time. It would be sent in two weeks. I received a call from the delivery company (First Choice, out of NC) saying it would be here the next week. It came on the day it was promised, about April 25th, both pieces were damaged. Back it went. When the new furniture came in, I got a date but the truck broke down. I was told it would arrive on May 20th, but, the truck broke down again and I got it on Friday, May 22nd. The workmanship is so-so even though it is manufactured by Ashley, There is a small tear near the top of side of one piece, and there is a small chunk missing from my wall. Delivery was about $400. I am keeping it because I don't want to have to deal with NC Gallery...

I was In search of an oversized swivel rocker recliner.. What I was looking for I was having difficulty finding I went into the store Debbie said follow me went straight back to several different recliners and there was one that popped out to me. It wasn't the color I was looking for but it was a color I had used before in my living room and it didn't come in the color I wanted but the grey was beautiful and material is soft and it's a chair By Ashley and I got a discount beyond what I could have ever imagined.. The ladies were very polite and they knew what they were doing they had even called the owner to see about getting the chair delivered and I was offered a discount in the delivery fee also but we went back a couple hours later and I purchased it.. But she went above and beyond and so some of these other negative things that are posted on here I just don't believe them.. My experience was really great with them.. We live in Greenville, an hour away from Smithfield. We were shopping around for a unique sectional, and found one we liked at Gallery Furniture. We were not ready to buy and put off buying for over a month. When I called Gallery Furniture, I spoke to the owner (who was the original person who helped us). He remembered us, remembered the sectional we were interested in, and had a better deal than the original. We arranged half a payment over the phone, with the remainder to be COD. He and the sales rep (Erica) were AWESOME. I ordered and it was delivered the NEXT day. Very friendly and professional. Even though there are numerous furniture stores in my city, I will go back to Gallery for all my needs from now on. I can't express how happy I am with the price, the delivery, and the overall experience with this store. I wish more furniture stores operated...
