June 5th 2024 we visited for a 5:30 pm supper Parking lot was about 3/4 full Also noticed lot was very clean- no debrie, dumped trash, also, trash receptacles outside were not in need of changing We found the pricing very intuned to food choices, however, the food was adequate. We will remark in a bit. We were a family of 10, plenty of room available and tables were already cleared and clean. Floors were carpet which also was clear and cleaned. We received our drink cups at area of payment- cups were plentiful- lids were not for younger kids. I had unsweetened iced tea which had to have been mis- filled, for I found my tea to be heavily sweetened. Upon accepting our tables, our server immediately came to say hello, asked if we had needs- to which my husband and I responded our tea was not plain- she apologized and returned with teas unsweetened for us as well as lemon pieces we had asked for. She also helped to retrieve a high chair and gave extra napkins as asked. I had viewed the choices before lining my plate- had the meatloaf, green beans, carrots which were way over sugared, my husband got fried chicked- very greasy, vegetable medly mashed potatoes, gravy, very salty, and a bit of suggested fish. The fish wasn't to bad, and the meatloaf was very bland- considering the saltiness of most of our parties choices, I was surprised. For a dessert, I chose the bread pudding which, in my book was fabulous. Other folks in our party choice various items- soft serve ice cream, chocolate cake, cookies all were very well received. Other choices were macaroni, fried rice, very dry, a take on either orange chicken or sweet and sour chicken, my grandson enjoyed very much! Roast beef was nice, but over cooked- it appeared to have just been put out, not a last picks. Most of the food was freshly put out. With the crowd they had, it was nice to see everyone working together as a team. In asking questions regarding un- marked choices, answered we very much understood and I did see an employee correct the non labeled food being asked about as well as re- checking the line- up. She noticed a few, corrected right away. As busy as they were, I found that to be great service to both us as the customer/ patron as well as for her team. All food was kept hot/ warm- cold/ cooled/ chilled. Restrooms for both sexes were very clean. Paper necessities were filled, trash was not overflowing, floors were clean, soap available- all stalls working and changing table- I forgot to ask my husband if there was a changing table in the men's room, a d if there was a handicap stall- there was a handicap in the ladies room. All in all- we would recommend this establishment. Very safe, clean, reasonably priced. As far as food choices- very nice and ample supply- possibly hit or miss in regards to the incorrect tea dispenser, the saltiness of foods, blandness I would guess to be able to serve more taste palets as we can season...
Read moreUsually eat at this Golden Corral for years, but won't for a while. Since the building has been updated, they need to update the way the food is cooked or the cooks itself.
I went at lunch and the food they had out did not match the label card they place on the glass overhang for display. Example, the label said "Baked Spaghetti" but there was Meatloaf. The Mashed Potatoes & Pot Roast I had gotten were cold and the vegetables that come with the pot roast were soggy looking, like it had been reheated or something. Went to the side where the rolls were, and the only food I could eat on that side was just the Fried Chicken, which my first bite consisted of a lot of grease to where my chin was covered in it. It wasn't good at all and it once again tasted like it had been reheated or refried. The food was very disappointing to where I thought the dessert would be great....nope!
Got their Chocolate Checkered Pie and in times past, it's been cold like it's always been...where this occasion it was too warm and it tasted like it had some kind of cleaner taste in it (tasted a bit stronger than tasting soap from a dish just washed in something). Even the whipped cream on the pie wasn't cold either. I thought it was just my taste buds and tried the Pecan & Blueberry Pie to where they were both warm and also tasted like it had some kind of cleaner in them. Again, the taste was stronger than when you just was a dish in soap. Not a soapy taste but a bit stronger. Almost like whoever is washing the dessert dishes are using too much soap or dish chemical and not washing it all off, or something. I tried the Icee and it was soupy. Wait staff was great as always, which that's a positive for my review!
Again, I've been coming for years to this location and won't for a while. For the price that I paid and the food that was offered, I...
Read moreHey ya'll, I went to this particular Golden Coral after going to church with my family on Sunday. It was extremely packed & the line to get in was about out the door. When I got into the building, I noticed it was an older model and not upgraded like some of the other Golden Coral's I've been in. I have a 14 month old daughter, so I needed a high chair, & this is where my problem came in. After finding the stack of high chairs one by one, I looked over every single one, and they were completely & utterly disgusting! Filthy more like it. I know babies/toddlers are messy, but to me, that is all the more reason to pay the high chairs special attention. I tried to pick the cleanest one & rolled it to my table, a waitress walked by & I asked her to clean it for me & ya'll she took her rag & slapped it across it twice & was done, & im thinking that's EXACTLY why they look the way they do!! Our waiter finally made it to the table. His name was Brian & he took it upon himself to look down and see the chair & before I could even ask him, he tried his best to clean it & i was very appreciative. But all the years of not cleaning it, it still looked horrible, so I just set my daughter on my lap & we ate. But back to Brian, he was an amazing waiter. Our plates never piled up, our drinks remained full & he was very polite, courteous & friendly! Ya'll look how nasty these high...
