I ordered a cheeseburger with no pickles because vinegar causes me to have wheezing and itchiness. I do not live near this Burger King and a friend was going past there and brought it to me. Well I got extra pickles (my receipt shows no pickle) making the 3$ burger completely inedible. So I called not because I want a new burger or because I was upset but to let them be aware of there tickets because it can potentially be dangerous. Well I tell the women that I have a slight allergy (sensitivity) to vinegar and that was why I asked for no pickles. Her response “our pickles don’t have vinegar”. I then proceeded to explain that a pickle is a cucumber that has marinated in a few things the primary base being vinegar. Please if the restaurant manager doesn’t know that pickles base is made from vinegar they probably should not be the manager. Food allergies are a real thing. Talk about a scam. I ordered breakfast through the app at 10:25 am. I arrived at 10:40 am and was told there was no more breakfast. “Your order is not prepared until it is confirmed.” is what I was told. And what they mean by ‘confirmed’ is you arrive in person. Not the multiple screens you have to click through in the app, not confirming payment, not when you get an emailed receipt from Burger King, only when you show up at the drive through do they actually do anything.
So, in review, there’s no reason to use the app, its just a scam. Also, when they refuse to fulfill your order, you have to go through an AI chat bot to try and figure out how to request a refund because it’s not an available option. When the chatbot gives up, it says you’ll get a response within 24-48 hours.
