FIRST 1 STAR REVIEW EVER FROM ME, SO CUSTOMERS BEWARE.
I like Panera Bread. A coworker and I ordered lunch yesterday to go and they left out a sandwich.(drive thru) Had to go back.
Gave it another try for dinner tonight got food to go spent $73 and again they leave out a sandwich and a soup. (Inside) To far to go back but will call manager.
Don't waste your time or money at this Panera Bread location. If you decide to give them a chance have them take the food out of the bag in front of you and review every item of the order whether you order inside or at the drive thru.
The orders were repeated both times when placed, so for management's reference the order was entered correctly.
We will shop at Panera Bread, just NO more at this Smithfield location.
UPDATE, called to speak with manager on how we could get a credit for items left out this evening, the person who answered showed empathy and transferred me to manager for resolution. She came back and said the manager said it could not be handled over the phone and that I would need to bring a receipt in.
I paid with a VISA, this happened 2 days in a row and the manager sends the young lady who answered the phone back with this type of message. Does not want to even attempt to win back a customer, or invest the time in the situation!!!
I will only go back to Smithfield location...
Read moreAccuracy does NOT matter at this Panera - We frequently order delivery from this store, located at 1716 E Market St, Smithfield, NC. We also are frequently shorted items from our orders. Sometimes little things like a fruit cup, salad dressing, or bread. Often, it is someone's meal who is left out. Today, our delivery arrived in a sealed bag. It was missing my sandwich. I called Panera and spoke with Reba, who informed me that they would not delivery me the sandwich that we had paid for. Panera deliveries are not handled by a third-party and Panera has no control over when or how deliveries are made. I don't believe the driver took the sandwich - the Panera seal was still on the bag. It is another case of lack of quality and management at this location. The receipt attached to the bag listed each item we ordered correctly and there was a green check mark by the "Pick 2" that included the missing sandwich. The "Order Checked By _" was left blank and the line below it that reads "Accuracy Matters" clearly is a not true. We were so fed-up with this locations delivery practices at one point, that we complained to corporate and did not order, delivery or otherwise, for a very long time. Whether your there for yourself or picking up an order to deliver (my sole experience) you're greeted with a smile and warm welcome to the store and staff, dare I say eager to help you!? I've never had any issues with the processes of a delivery courrier since my first time picking up from them. The last visit started out as a single order, which can turn into multiple Drops. I was waiting for my original order to be completed by them as another $300 order (to them) came in that was then sent to my phone as a "add to route". I was there nearly 30 mins, or more. After apologizing to me multiple times with an understanding and content reply, the huge order was ready and was instructed by a leader to take it me personally on the other side where I'd been patiently awaiting the gigantic bag. The staff is pleasurable to be around and went above and beyond to complete these orders on top of orders as effectively and productively as humanly possible with the staff they had that day.
