Smithfield Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Smithfield

I will NEVER come here again. Walked in at 6 15pm to get two milkshakes for my family. There were three young adults working tonight. None of them greeted me when I walked in, the girl at the counter looked annoyed that I was even there. In ordering my milkshakes I had a couple questions since that was my first time getting one from them and she just looked at me annoyed and answered with "what's that" to my question. Of course being myself I said thank you after everything, then when paying she asks if I want my receipt, I said no thank you and she just quickly walks off without saying a word. Then walking out the kid sweeping dosent even say have a good night or anything. They clearly do not want to be there working and made me feel very unwelcomed. I will NEVER come here again. My family is actually going through a hard time right now and I just wanted to do something nice to cheer them up and this is what I dealt with in coming here. Note of advice you never know what someone could be going through, at least have common decency, especially when your getting paid to do so. The sandwich was good. I don't doubt the tastiness of the food here. What absorbed my attention was the customer service from the staff. I was informed previously what to expect, but I like to review much more fairly. I was gravely disappointed. It took closer to an hour to make a club sandwich with only a guy getting drinks ahead. The cashier stated there is only two girls working, but orders after mine were continuously being prepared first. Finally when the front was cleared, my sandwich was prepared. I don't buy the excuses that were given to me. It saddens me deeply to see what took place within my own eyes regardless if it happened to me or someone else. My husband ordered the club sandwich choice for us to share. He specifically asked for "NO mayonnaise" on my half of the sandwich and a little extra portion in a chiffon cup on the side. We got the sandwich, and it had mayonnaise all over it. I took the sandwich back up to the counter, and the girl apologized. She took the sandwich from me to make another one. When the employee brought me back my "new" sandwich, I checked it again before I sat down with my husband, who by this time had finished his meal (so our whole dinner together was ruined), and it had mayonnaise AGAIN all over it not 5 minutes after our discussion about me NOT wanting mayonnaise on my sandwich.
