Updating toowners response The owner never came and apologized, and the staff member never asked but just said " I'm pretty sure it has color, umm yeah that has color" Then asked about refunding. The Facebook post about a vaccine has nothing to do with my review, but the post inquiring about a seasonal position did remind me about this incident 2 days prior with the food coloring. However, it was not the first incident that we purchased something that I ended up throwing out because my instinct told me there was definitely artificial color in it and the ingredients hadn't listed it. It's not a simple mistake, that's a seriously dangerous scenario that can end up in a lawsuit. Not to mention, it's illegal. All three of my children are allergic but one is medically complex with two congenital birth defects, one being a congenital heart defect. To insinuate my multiple experiences have anything to do with a recent vaccine post is laughable at best and shows the integrity and character of this company. Do I think it's odd that a business is asking employees for a proof a vaccines like they are entering elementary school is odd, yes. Does that change the experiences that the business obviously stated were true? No.
The staff is never welcoming, everyone seems confused about any question. The ingredient listed on the items aren't accurate which is wildly dangerous. My children have an allergy to artificial colors. My husband purchased an item and brought it the car and I noticed it was bright yellow. I questioned it and he said "look at the package, it's good!" Well to be certain I walked back to double-check and sure enough the employee refunded me and said it did infact contain artificial colors. This was not the only item I noticed was missing a numbered food dye in the ingredients.

Read moreBurrito and Dumpling both say, the smell when you walk in is delish. Dumpling says it’s a little pricy. We got the most gorgeous loaf of herbed focaccia bread that I have seen outside the doors of my favorite Italian market in years. However, now that we’ve eaten it, it was a little thicker and doughier than Burrito had first imagined. While it would be great for soaking up your fav sauce at a big Italian meal, it’s not what I’d call a traditional focaccia. You also have to go on their website to find the instructions for heating. We also grabbed a pig shaped frosted sugar cookie, bikini wearing summer ready gingerbread cookie, and cheesecake cupcakes. Burrito thinks the pig shaped sugar cookie was okay and Dumpling thought it was good. Burrito would say it was low on a hint of vanilla or almond and on that buttery creaminess she is looking for in an iced sugar friend. The gingerbread woman was heavy on flour and lower on molasses flavor, so not the right mix blend for your Burrito. Chicken Nuggie agreed, but said it was much better when pared with a glass of milk. The cheesecake was good, but not the town’s best IMO. The icing on the top is a little overly sugary, which led to a bit of over sugared feeling overall. After scraping the icing off and truly tasting the cheesecake, it had a hint of lemon that we wouldn’t expect to find in a true New York style cheesecake. Service could have been friendly and warmer. We wouldn’t go...
Read moreI bought a loaf of blueberry lemon bread for $8 and it was really really good with vanilla ice cream. It weighed a ton and was well worth it compared to paying $5 for a regular loaf of sandwich bread. Unfortunately, all of the blueberries sank to the bottom and the plastic bag it comes in trys to pull off the icing (and successfully so) so I didn't get the full glory of what it had the potential to be. But the flavors were strong and just really really delicious with ice cream. I also bought a blueberry scone. It was better than Starbucks but not as good as the place that sells pumpkins in Surry by Chippoaks. It's a matter of texture, blueberry distribution, and the right glaze. The pumpkin place just nails it. Starbucks is a crumbling mess. Yummaries is really close to the good one. I also bought a cheesecake brownie with some sort of chunks in it. Fudge perhaps. It didn't work. I've had a million better brownies, including every single one that has ever come from a box of Duncan Hines. The cheesecake portion baked in weird, the "fudge" didn't really work, and the brownie itself was somehow dry without the satisfaction of crispy edges. A double let-down if you ask me.
My general feelings about this bakery are that I love it and I'll probably...
